Summer Fun...Meeting Cindy & Dan!

*

*
Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
*
I love summer...there are always so many fun things to do!!! Summertime is always the busiest time of the year for us! As many you know...I took a little blogging break last week. My sister and brother-in-law from Texas came for a visit...we had a great time! However, before my sis got here, we had very special visitors from Wisconsin...my sweet friend Cindy and her husband Dan from Applestone Cottage!
*
Ohhhh...what fun we had!!!
*

My sweet friend Cindy from Applestone Cottage
*
Yes, it really was a dream come true! When I found out that Cindy and Dan were planning a vacation to Colorado...I just did my "happy dance"! Of course we made plans to meet...I was soooo excited!!! Cindy and I met about three years ago on HGTV's Rate My Space and we have visited back and forth through our blogs and emails all this time. To finally meet "face to face" just made my entire summer!!!
*
Ohhh...and let me tell you, we had a "gab-fest"...BIG TIME!!! Hehe! Were your ears burning? Hehe!
*

Cindy's honey...Dan
*
It was such a pleasure to meet Cindy's husband Dan as well! He really is the sweetest man...very easy going and easy to talk to! Dan teaches a high school vocational/construction class. He is such a talented man! Ohhh...you should see some of the fabulous furniture that Dan has built for Cindy!
*

*
Cindy brought me the most beautiful bouquet of red/orange sunflowers! Isn't that sweet? I just adore fresh flowers! I believe the long stalks of beautiful greenery are called the Bells of Ireland?
*

*
Ohhh...sooo pretty! Thank you, Cindy!
*
By the way...I am drying these fabulous sunflowers in the basement right now. I think they'll make a beautiful Autumn arrangement!
*

*
As if the gift of the beautiful flowers wasn't enough...Cindy came with the prettiest pink gift bag in hand. Sheeesh...I got lost in the excitement and forgot to take a photo of these special gifts in their wrap!
*

*
I do believe that this is a lady after my own heart...just look at this beautiful bottle with the gorgeous decorative topper that she gave me! I would have picked this myself! Hehe! I think my sweet friend knows me pretty well!
*

*

*
I think the decorative topper looks like a crown...I love it!!!
*

*
Cindy also gave me this darling set of bird salt and pepper shakers! Ohhh yes, she knows how I just adore birds!!! You're the best, Girlfriend!!!
*

*
Aren't they just the sweetest little birds!!!
*

*

*
Just taking photos of my sweet gifts...I thought the decorative bottle looked pretty next to the green apple!
*

*

*
Did I mention what a GRAND time we had? Hehe!
*
We talked and talked...and talked!!! Of course we talked blogs...and we talked decorating...two of our favorite subjects!!!
*
In fact...even the guys got involved....
*

*
Dan was just tickled pink to get a gift basket...and Russell loved the tablescaping book!!! Hehe...they really were such good sports to let me take this photo of them!!! What great guys!!!
*

Ahhh...such a lovely couple!!!
*
We really did have a wonderful time!!! It was such a pleasure for Russell and I to have Cindy and Dan stay with us for a couple of days!!! It was the BEST!!! I'm hoping that we can do this again! Cindy and Dan has invited us to come to their place in Wisconsin...I would lovvvve to go! Thank you, Cindy and Dan for your sweet friendship!!! Love you, guys!!!
*
Well my friends...I'm so happy that you came by today! Thank you for letting me share my experience of meeting one of my bestest friends with you! Who would have ever guessed that blogging would have led to such sweet friendships! You all are such a blessing to me!!!
*
Have a wonderful day!!!

Wow, how lucky are you? Well, come to think of it, Cindy is too. :-) I'm so glad you were able to have this special visit! The bottle topper is gorgeous...looks very much like my wreath holder and another holder I have in my bathroom. The flowers were beautiful too. It's just amazing to be able to meet blogging friends in person and I hope to do that some day.

Thanks so much for sharing your lovely visit.
