It's Thrifty Thursday!

Hello my friends...welcome to Thrifty Thursday!

I love "Thrifty Thursdays"!!! This fun filled, frugal event is hosted by our very own Leigh over at Tales From Bloggeritaville! Thank you so much, Leigh...for hosting Thrifty Thursdays and giving us a chance to share our thrifty finds! Sure do appreciate you, my friend!

Now if you've never been over to Leigh's place...you need to pay her a visit...see what thrifty finds she'll be sharing with all of us today...and while you're there you can go and check out the other participant's bargains as well!

Ho...Ho...Ho...Merry Christmas!!!
*
Hehe...I know, you think I've lost my marbles, haven't you? I may be a few marbles short...that's for sure but I know a great bargain when I see one!!! Hehe!!!
*
Last month when honey and I went to Atwood, Kansas for a car show...this sweet little town was having their community wide yard sale! They do this every year. While honey is doing the "car thing"...I go yard salin'!!! Yeeehawww!!! This year I found some great treasure finds...at the top of my treasure trove list are some Christmas pretties!!!
*
The Snowman Family...Mr., Mrs., and baby too!
*
I just love Christmas and I love decorating for it too! I collect snowmen so when I seen this darling little snowman family...it was plain and simple...I just had to give them a home!!!
*

I set them up on my the buffet in my dining room so that I could take photos for you!
*
Aren't they just the sweetest little snowman family that you've ever seen? I just adore them!!! Mr. Snowman stands about 14 in. tall...he's all bundled up in his green plaid coat, red neck scarf, and black top hat! Ohhh...and just look at that pretty little red cardinal that has gone along for the ride on Mr. Snowman's hat! Mr. Snowman is carrying a potted Christmas tree in one arm and has a pretty wreath on the other! Mrs. Snowman is all decked out in her finest Christmas coat of red and green stripes...with a pretty blue neck scarf to keep her warm! She's ready for snow!!! Baby snowman is just adorable, isn't he? Hehe!!!
*
This is a ceramic set with an opening in the back for a tealight or light of some sort. I think they'll be really beautiful all lit up!!!
*
I paid only $4 for the set!

Decorative Snowman Plate Rack...
*
I just love this next little Christmas treasure...it's a decorative snowman plate rack! The rack is black rod iron and comes in three seperate pieces...they clip together. The pretty plates are so bright and colorful...ahhhh...Christmas cheer!!!
*
I love the sweet face on this snowman...and just look at that pretty red and green striped neck scarf! Ohhh...and another sweet little bird!!!
*
I paid only $2 for this pretty snowman plate rack!

A Mary Engelbreit Teapot Pin Cushion...

Ohhh my...I really didn't need this...but it was just too darn cute to pass up! I mean...it's a teapot, Girls! Hehe!!! I love Mary Engelbreit's pretties...they are always so colorful with such pretty patterns!

This teapot pin cushion stands about 7 ins. tall...the entire piece is made of cloth. The top of the tea pot lifts up and you could store thread or other sewing supplies inside the tea pot!

This pretty little teapot had a $3 price tag on it but the lady took just...
$2 for this teapot pin cushion!!!

This teapot pin cushion is brand new...I may save it and give it as a gift! Hmmm...we'll see!!!

Well my friends...I got a few other goodies at the yard sale but I'll save them for another day!
Before I close today...I would like to tell you about a fabulous party...
*
A Cloche Party!
Friday, June 19th
*
My dear friend Marty over at A Stroll Through Life is hosting a cloche party! Ohhhh...I'm so excited!!! This is going to be great fun!!! Okay...it's time to dust off the cloches, Girls...and pretty them up...because we're having a party!!!
*
Please go over to Marty's place for more information. I sure do hope that you'll plan to participate!!!

Hi Chari,
I want to thank you for the wonderful comments you left about the armoire. You made hubbies day! Your new treasures are just the cutest, and what great buys! My fave is the snowman family, that will look so wonderful lit up at Christmas time. I hope you are feeling better after your big sale last week-end. I know how those things can really wear a person out. We're helping my Mom move and boy oh boy is it a job. Also, my son and DIL are coming this week-end and I haven't seen them in like 8 months. I am very anxious and excited for them to get here. I think my posting will be a little bleak this week but I plan on getting over for Sunday Faves! Take care my friend and again I love your new treasures! Hugs, Cindy

Chari, you found some of the greatest treasures, and I love all of them! I have never seen anything like that snowman plate rack. How cute is that? And your snow family is adorable. Anything M.E. sells is great, but that is that pin cushion is the best! I can even see that as a centerpiece for a tea party. It's just so cheerful. And it is amazing how little money you spent on these treasures. You did great! laurie

What great finds, the three plate snowman is the cutest thing...never seen anything like him. The ME tea pot pin cushion, her things are always so cheery and happy. The snowman family, what a bargain and the buffet...would like to see more of that wonderful piece. You'll have to show it off sometime.
Can't wait to see what else you brought home.
As far as the cloche party :-( I don't have one. Will just have to enjoy looking at all the others.

Good mornin' sweetie! You're on my prayer list! I didn't know you suffered with fibromyalgia. You wouldn't know it from your blog...because you are always on the go! I hope and pray you feel better very soon! I promise I'm not trying to be the Curves spokesperson here but several of our ladies that work out have exactly what you have and they have found that the Curves workout and stretch circuit really have helped them. We have ladies with rheumatoid arthritis and other auto immune diseases that swear by the Curves workout. Love Ya! Lauralu :)

I've been waiting to see what you found on the car show trip. The snowman family will be great this winter when the snow flies again. I'm sure enjoying this summer as it hasn't turned HOT yet. I love it at 70 degrees. Hope all is well with you. Sally

Chari, I love all of them! You so lucked out for sure dear lady and of course I am now wishing I saw those snowmen before you did. LOL

They are just so cute! I need a good sized one for my Snowman theme for Christmas as well, but I can wait since I change out the theme every year as each of my children have their own and cycle through.

Glad you joined in today's TT with Leigh! I just love that blogger, she's so nice!

Hi Girlfriend,
Haven’t been by for awhile, because I was out of town then you were out of town. I just popped over to sneak a peek and see what you have been up to. I must say I am a tad envious of your snowmen treasurers and those cute plates.
