It's "2nd Time Around Tuesday"...

Hello my friends...welcome to "2nd Time Around Tuesday"!
This fun filled Tuesday event is hosted by our very own Diane over at A Picture Is Worth A 1000 Words. Why don't you go on over and see what Diane has for us today and while you're there...you can check out all of the other fabulous "2nd Time Around" treasures!!!

My "2nd Time Around" Treasure...

I may be stretching this post a bit today. The treasure that I would like to share with you wasn't found at a yard sale or bought at a thrift store, however this little treasure is certainly being enjoyed for the "2nd Time Around"!!! So I hope that counts!
The Calla Lily & The Stained Glass Window
Ahhh...my calla lily is blooming! In fact, I thought I better catch a photo before the bloom sees its better days. This little plant has three blooms on it right now, sorry...you can only see two in the photo!
As pretty as the calla lily is....this isn't my "2nd Time Around" treasure! Just look at the beautiful...colorful...background behind the calla lily! This is what I really wanted to share with you today!
The Stained Glass Window
This beautiful stained glass window was made by my husband's mother, Mary Alice, who has gone on to be with the Lord. Mary Alice was such a creative and talented lady! She enjoyed so many different arts & crafts. Mary decided to take a stained glass class...and during the last few years of her life she made many, many beautiful pieces of stained glass! She became so good at her craft that a few gift shops sold some of her pieces!
I just love the bright orange and green parrots!!! It's such a colorful piece!!! I decided to put this in the window of our office! It's simply magnificent to see the bright colors dance around the room as the sunlight shines through the window!!! I feel so blessed to have one of my mother-in-law's works of art! It is a "2nd Time Around" treasure that I absolutely cherish!!!

A close-up of the calla lily...

A Heartfelt Thank you!!!

Well my friends, before I close today's post...I would just like to say thank you for helping to make the very first "Sunday Favorites" meme such a success!!!

I was just tickled pink that so many of you decided to participate!!!
Thank you...Thank you...THANK YOU!!! I hope that all of you had as much fun as I did! I enjoyed all of the posts that the participants chose to post once again!!! Each one was fabulous!!!
I look forward to the 2nd "Sunday Favorites" on May 2nd!

Love ya'll,

CHari- How wonderful that your 2nd time around treasure is a real treasure and so meaningful as it was made by your MIL!

Spent the day at the Antique store redoing the window space for a garden theme- Looks cute and I have a new looking cloche which I love!

Wow what a huge success the Sunday post was- I will try your suggestions for posting next week to see if I can make it a little easier to do! Thanks for letting me know!

Trying to get our quarterly newletter printed and ready for mail- 500 so it is a bit of a chore!

Beautiful stained glass - My mom used to create stained glass windows to hang in front of a window to catch the light - I have one she created especially for me - it has moved with me every time I relocated, and is very special! Love yours!

Chari, thank you so much for the kind and gracious notes you left for me at my Southern Lagniappe blog. I'm so glad they led me to your blog.

I love the stained glass window -- your mother-in-law was very talented, and I know you will always treasure the window she made for you.

You asked if I took the header photo on my blog -- yes, I recently did a post about Queen Anne's Lace and other wildflowers, and that was one of the photos included in it.

I'm so glad to find you, and I'll be back to visit again soon.

What a gorgeous window! The plant is called, "peace lily" here; I never knew it was the same as a calla lily. Happy 2 x Tuesday.

First of all, the Sunday party was so great! It is a bummer when you are excited to write a post and no one sees it (or leaves comments). It was wonderful for me to be able to revisit a post and actually have people read it. :)

Your MIL must have been a neat person. I understand making stained glass is not easy to do. The lilies add such a great tropical look to your window.

Have a great week!

Beautiful stained glass! My hubby also does this. He wants me to take a class. I told him I don't need to as I have him. He said I would have fun. So I might give it a try.

My 2nd time around post is also about a family heirloom. So you are not alone.

Sunday Favorites was fun. Thanks for hosting it.
