Autumn Pears in Still Life

*
*
*
Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
*
A few days ago, we had a beautiful, sunny autumn day here in Colorful Colorado. The sun was streaming in through my dining room so beautifully that I grabbed my camera to take a few photos.
*
As many of you know, my little french country dining room is red. At a certain time of the day when the sun shines into the room...the red walls just become the most beautiful...brilliant...shade of red that I've ever seen! They certainly do make a stunning backdrop for any photos that I take.
*
Last week I shared a few photos of a trio of pumpkins that I shot in the dining room...called "Pumpkins in Still Life".  If you would like to see that post...just click HERE.  After I finished playing with the pumpkins, I decided to do a "still life" photo shoot of a trio of autumn pears.  I hope that you enjoy!

"Autumn Pears in Still Life"
*
Autumn 2011 in my French Country Dining Room.
*
A simple "still life" photo of a trio of autumn pears on a white ironstone platter.  A few embroidered napkins and an old nickle plated dinner knife join in to make an autumn still life.
*
I have enjoyed using my dining room table centerpiece as a back drop for the "still life" photos.  It makes for a pretty picture...I think.  The old wooden dough trough is filled with autumn's bounty...pears, grapes, pomegranites, a mix of nuts, deer antlers, a long pheasant feather, a tall masonary candleholder with an earthy colored pillar candle, and a pheasant.
*
Ahhh autumn...my favorite time of the year!
*

*
I love this white ironstone platter.  Love the pretty border of embossed fruit and the handles that are cut into the plate.  This pretty platter usually hangs on the dining room wall.  Today, it serves as a platter for the autumn pears.
*
A few golden colored napkins with a white embroidered motif...along with an old nickle plated knife join in to complete this "still life of autumn pears".
*
*
*
*
*
Mmmm...makes you just want to take a big ol' bite of the juicy autumn pear...doesn't it?

You are such a great photographer Chari! What beautiful pics, what a stunning arrangement!
Some magazine should be buying your pics, they are that good!
Hey girl, have you heard from Gloria? I sent cards and I have been watching for an update on her blog.
And I am a pooped out woman indeed!
Katie is going to continue with two jobs but it won't be as much as last week.
If Addison's dad would pay child support she wouldn't have to be doing this.
He can't seem to keep a job.
Oh well, we will just do the best we can.
Hugs to you friend,
Cindy

Still life photos are such a wonderful study of items. Your background is just perfect too. That yellow napkin is just right, too.

Chari, I hope when I grow up (in the blogging world) that I can be even half as good as you are at it. I really mean this, your photography is beautiful and when you comment, it seems straight from the heart. There is never a NICE JOB comment but always something that makes the person feel as though you really have taken the time to look and appreciate their work. I hope I'm not over doing the compliments but just wanted you to what a nice person I think you are. By the way, I looked at your post and was wowed by the lovely pear still life. See, I'm learning! Thanks!----------Shannon
