~~Autumn Enchantment~~

Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
The leaves have turned color. The air has turned brisk...and once again I find myself
bedazzled by the beauty, the charm, and the magic of the season!
~~Autumn Enchantment~~
 Will you join me?
Let's just sit awhile and savor the sweetness of the season!
There is nothing like a warm fire on a cool autumn's eve.
I decided to set a table for two in front of the living room fireplace! The mantel,
dressed in its best fall finery, makes a beautiful backdrop for my autumn table.
 Dinner by the fireside...
....and a table with a view!
 Ahhhh...Autumn Enchantment!
The autumn table is layered in rich, flowing fabrics.
A long, cream colored, tone-on-tone damask cloth drapes down the sides of the table...spilling over onto the floor.
An antique-gold colored cloth is layered on top...bringing to the table...the deep, rich colors of autumn.
A table in rich hues of gold, burnt orange, and red.
I love the colors of the season! Sooo warm, sooo rich, sooo inviting...Autumn Enchantment!
I love how the rich, autumnal colors of the table look against the
living room's olive green walls...so beautiful!

Autumn birds....so charming...so enchanting.
I decided to carry the bird theme of the dinnerware into the table's centerpiece.

A wire cloche with the sweetest little bird finial is the centerpiece's main attraction.
I love the old, distressed gray finish of the cloche. A gold candle and autumn berries decorate the cloche...all sitting atop a silver pedestal dish. I used a candle ring at the base of the cloche...filled with autumn leaves, berries, and acorns. The colors coordinate perfectly with the dinnerware.

This vintage bird figurine belonged to my husband's grandparents. When I was looking around for items to use in the centerpiece, I spotted this pretty bird that I had on a shelf in my living room. He looks very similar to the birds on the dinnerware! So awesome! He is sitting on a small, silver footed tray...along with a few old skeleton keys tied with a pretty ribbon. Three burnt orange votive candles also grace the table.  The soft glow of their candlelight will create the perfect, romantic ambiance that I'm looking for.
The Place Setting...
*The dinner and salad plates are manufactured by Royal Stafford and are called, "Decoupage".
I found this beautiful set of dishes at TJ Maxx last year...it was love at first sight! I fell in love with the rich colors and the sweet birds. They really do set an enchanting autumn table...don't you think? The brown charger plate has pretty oak leaves dancing around the rim...found at Walmart. I decided to use amber colored goblets with this place setting...sooo pretty!
The salad/dessert plate.

The dinner plate.
An autumn candlelight dinner for two! Is there anything more enchanting than that?
~~Autumn Enchantment~~
Well my friends...I hope that you experienced just a little bit of the enchantment of autumn today!

So romantic and so pretty it glows!
And the mantel and nightime photos that glow so softly!
I adore this...it's one of your finest!
p.s. it turned rainy here and I feel all achey. Does the weather affect you too that way?
My daughter is still working a lot and I am just tuckered out too!

My eye immediately went to those linens on the table!!! I am a sucker for beautiful linens! The dishes are the absolute embodiment of autumn...they just could not be more perfect! I never saw those at TJ Maxx last year. It's amazing how some things never seem to come to the Midwest market. Last year this time I was hitting TJ Maxx and Marshalls at least a couple of times a week, but I never saw those. My husband is in Houston now, and he went into the Home Goods/Marshalls there last night and took pictures of all the dishes for me. (He's a good guy!) There were SO many things we don't have in the stores here!!! Your whole vignette is beautiful, and that mantle is spectacular!!! Have a happy evening!

Oh...this is so pretty, Chari! I can't believe you had a bird that would so closely match the ones on the plates! Awesome. Here's one reason you are so good at this: adding the skeleton keys with the ribbon! Great touch!

Enchantment is the perfect word, Chari. I love this one. The lush setting is perfect for the bird themed table. Those plates in the setting are something I would love to have.

Chari, I love your romantic setting for two in front of your gorgeous fireplace. I like the way you used several colors and shades of the same color to create a beautiful scene. Love the amber goblets and the plates are to die for. We must share a love for bird themed dishes because I have to keep myself from buying each one I see. That table in front of your window is very pretty. The table top has a nice shape and I like the detail on the legs. You brought everything together in true Chari style! Lovely! --Shannon

Chari!! Listen..and tell me the truth! HOW ON EARTH DO YOU DO THAT!
If I live to be a hundred (and I'm getting there) do you manage to create such..such..well, it's lovely, simply stunning. All of it. The mantel..everything.

At least I do put placemats and cloth napkins on our TV trays in front of the baseball games every evening. The mantel has a couple of SCARECROW people on it..and I called it a day!
Elegance has always eluded me and always will, I think.
I love having talented women in my life like you so I can at least experience it. Thank you.
You are always a delight. Always!
Sending you a huge hug!

You are proof positive that some people just have an eye for ..design..and we FEEL your joy in what you do!
