Yeeehawww...I Got It...I Got It!!!

Yeeehawww...I got it!!! I won the ebay bid for the wood applique that I wanted for my china hutch! I got it for a mere $10.50...not to bad for such a sizable...very ornate...wood applique! I can't wait to get it...and I'm definitely going to add our family initial "L" to the center of that pretty medallion.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who came a runnin' when you heard my S.O.S. go out...hehe!!! You girls are the best!!!

I was just sitting here thinking about how much fun that was...I love getting your input. You are all so talented and I look at it this way...two heads are always better than one! Sooooo...I've decided to put up all of the photos of my new "frenchy" studio/office as it is now (which at the present is just a hodge-podge of things)...and ask for your consideration...ideas...etc...in decorating this little "frenchy toile" room!

The only thing concrete in this room is the wall color...it's been recently painted and I just don't want to do it again...hehe! Not to mention, I love the wall color...they are a khaki/olive green...as you can see in the photos. Of course, I've added the china hutch and an old antique desk...many of the items are left over from it's former state as a bedroom...and I've already been throwing items in here with the thought that they might be used!

But remember...nothing is concrete yet...so what do you think?

Here is the china hutch (once again)...I'm trying to "frenchify" it! The pretty wood applique is a good start I think. Many of you suggested that I paint the hutch...and in the beginning I was very hesitant about doing that simply because it's a keepsake...know what I mean?...however, last night my honey told me that I could and should do with it as I please. Whew...I was worried about that! One thing I definitely think that hutch needs is a new back. I really dislike the dark colored wood behind the shelving inside the hutch...I was thinking that it needs painted...or maybe some pretty fabric??? I'm also up for ideas on what to do with the doors on the bottom...how can they be "frenchified"???

I ordered new drapes...a simple toile fabric made by Waverly. The fabric is a darker shade of the wall color...khaki/olive with black! Honestly, they really weren't my first pick considering all of the beautiful toile fabric...but I got such a great deal that I couldn't hardly pass them up (and I am on a pretty strict budget). These drapes were originally $270.00 but I got them on a close-out sale for just $77.00....yeeehawww...or maybe I should say Mon Dieu...Je le prends!!! So I have a pair of pinch-pleated panels and two "Juliet" styled valances. Of course, they will need pressed...hehe!

Ohhhh my...I told you that I was just throwing everything in this room that I might be able to use. I still have the old antique garden gate on the wall (I used it as a headboard for the twin bed that was in here). I love this old gate and would like to leave it in the room...I moved my old hunched-back trunk in front of it, although you really can't see it right now for all of the art that I have propped up against it...hehe!
We recently acquired these pieces...Russell's Dad had seven of the most beautiful antique framed family photos and art stored away in an old trunk! I just about peed my pants when I found them...so sorry, that is so crude but it's so true!!!
The big gold rectangle frame that is propped up against the wall is one of my favorites...it was purchased for a portrait done of Russell's Great-Grandparents. I know that the portrait was done in the 1880's...so this gorgeous frame is at least that old!!! And just look at the beautiful oval frame that is sitting in front propped up against the trunk...it is a photo done of the original Lambert homestead...I love, love, love this!!!
So what do you think...can I make any of these beautiful works of art work in this room? Maybe an entire wall done in a museum style placement???

This next photo is of the wall opposite of the china hutch. I haven't changed anything on the shelf...it's as it was when this was a bedroom. This is the old antique desk that I brought in. It's pretty rough but has alot of character...I think I will leave it as it is! I need to decorate the top of it though...wink! See the two pictures up on the shelf...they are two prints that I brought back from Paris. Maybe I can do a pretty demure toile or damask fabric for the matte???

Just a close up of the art and my leather "Paris" box...it's filled with eucalyptus and peacock feathers.

Well my friends...there you have it...my frenchy studio/office as it is right now. I'd just adore hearing your ideas and opinions!!! Thank you so much again, for coming to my rescue yesterday...hehe!!!
Love ya'll,

HELP!!! I need advice....

Hello friends....as most of you know....I've started a new project! My first "frenchy toile" room...my studio/office! And if you've followed my blog...you know that it was this beautiful china hutch that started the entire project. I have a dilemma though...the china hutch as it is presently isn't very "frenchy" styled...but that doesn't mean that I can't make it that way, right? Hehe!!! The first thing that I'd like to do to it is...take the little gold brass ornament off of the top of the hutch. I've searched ebay for wood appliques and have found a couple that I really like, however, I'm having a hard time deciding which one I like best. Soooo, I'm turning to you, my blog friends, for your advice!!! Below you will find photos of the two that I'm considering....take a peek and leave me a comment, okay? I sure would appreciate it!!!

Number One

This wood applique measures 16"x4"...so it would make a considerable impact on the decor of the hutch....what do you think?

Number Two

I also really like this one, in fact, I'm leaning toward purchasing this. If I got this one, I thought it might be pretty to put our family "letter L initial" in the center of the applique...there seems to be a perfect spot for it!!! This applique is a little larger than the last one...it measures 18"x5"!

Well my friends, I'm on a "time crunch" here...Number two applique goes out in less than 4 hrs....oh my, why do I always wait till the last minute to do this stuff...hehe!!! Also, see the 3 insets doors on the bottom of the hutch...not very "frenchy"....I'd like to do something with them...got any ideas???

Thank you so much for your help....please leave me a comment and tell me which one of the appliques that you think would look best....

Love ya'll,

Chari

It's Trash to Treasure Tuesday!!!

Hello friends! Today is "Trash to Treasure Tuesday" hosted by Diane over at A Picture is Worth 1,000 Words.

As many of you know...I've been busy, busy...trying to find homes at my place for many of my late father-in-law's treasures. To make a long story short...because this little post today is going to be "short & sweet"...I have claimed my step-son's bedroom as my very own studio/office. Oh boy, have my little "decorator's wheels" been a turnin'...hehe!!! I've always wanted a "toile" room and this is my chance to have one! It will be my own little "french country toile" heaven...hehe!!! Soooo this morning...I'm shopping around my house for things to put in there and just happened to look over at this little french country treasure....a magazine rack...that I've had in our office. It'll be perfect for my office!

I found this little treasure a few years back at a yard sale. I'll never forget that yard sale...the dearest little old lady was selling many of the items that she had collected over her "lifetime" of years. It was kind of sad...if you know what I mean...but I was more than happy to give this little magazine rack a good home! She gave it to me for .50 cents...can you believe that? Well...this is "Trash to Treasure Tuesday"....which brings me to point out that this darling little magazine rack had seen it's better days but I wouldn't change it...I love it's patina!
Here's a close-up of the cute, colorful rooster...how sweet!!!

Well my friends...guess I better go so I can clean up my little frenchy magazine rack and get it in my new room! Thank you so much for coming by...I always love when you visit and leave a comment!

Love ya'll,

Chari

It's Metamorphosis Monday!!!

Hello and welcome to my very first "Met Monday"...hosted by our dear friend Susan over at "Between Naps On The Porch". If you haven't ever visited Susan...please do so! You're in for a real treat!!! Also, she has a list of all the blogs that are participating in "Met Monday"...so you can check them all out!!!

Metamorphosis in my living room...Oh my!!!
*
Today I would like to show you my living room in all of it's many "metamorphic stages"...hehe!!! When I moved into my honey's home...all of the hard work had already been done....whew!!! Russell bought an old home that had been built in the 1920's...added an addition to the front and back of the house and he added an entire upstairs. Our livingroom was one of the additions to the home.
*
Stage One:
*
This is what the living room looked like when I first moved to my new home! As you can see, it's really just a "shell of a room". The walls were white...no drapes...and very sparsely furnished!
*
*

Stage Two:

I love color!!! The first thing I did was paint the walls....I decided on a sage green color! I added gold drapes with off-white sheers....and of course a few pieces of new furniture!
*
*

Stage Three:
*
"Welcome to HGTV'S Rate My Space"...about this time last year, I found RMS! Oh my...RMS really inspired me to make many, many changes to my home! One of the first things that I noticed about some of my fellow RMSer's homes were their window treatments....and I just had to change mine! My goal: to achieve a more formal look for this room. I bought new gold pinch-pleated drapes and off-white pinch-pleated sheers...new drapery hardware, etc. I moved the drapery rod as close to the ceiling as I could get it....and WOW....what a difference that made to the entire look of my living room!!! You can see the difference between the last photo and the photo below. The pinch-pleated drapes really gave the windows the formal look I was going for....and I just couldn't believe how moving the drapery rods to the ceiling added height to the entire room!!! A subtle change that brought about a much grander look!!!
*
We also added mouldings to the wall on the right side of the room (before doing this I stripped the most awful wallpaper off of that wall...sorry honey!) This wall is somewhat of a sore-spot with me...it juts out into the living room making this area very narrow...but what can a girl do...on the otherside of this wall is my bedroom closet and a girl needs her closet...hehe!!! So...why not just "go with the flow" and accent the wall!!! Adding the moulding certainly did just that!
*
*

Stage Four:

The next change came by way of a new paint color...you say, "What, I don't see a different paint color!" It was a fairly subtle change...I like to call it "fine tuning or tweaking" the room...hehe!!! I lived with the sagey green color for a few years and decided that an "olive" shade of green would look much better. The room is still green but I've had people come in and say, "Hmmm...this room looks different, what did you do?"...they can't quite put their thumb on it...hehe!!! The new olive shade really does look better with the burgandy colored carpet...and I think it gives the room a richer, more sophisticated feel! I love the olive...it's such a moody color...the room can look so different with just a change in lighting...and I love that!!!
*
New accessories: After painting the walls olive, I added a few new accessories. New wall art...a new throw...a few new sofa pillows! It's amazing how making just a few small changes can give a room a complete facelift!
*
*

Another photo taken at Christmas...a few new Christmasy accessories!
*
*

Stage Five: ???
*
Who knows what's in store for my living room next! My home is ever evolving or "Metamorphosising"...hehe!!!
*
I'm sure glad that Susan came up with "Met Monday's"...it gives us the chance to show how our homes are ever changing!!! Thank you, Susan!!!
*
Well my friends, hope you enjoyed seeing my little living room evolve from that little crystalis....into the full-blown butterfly!!! Have a great day and go move a few accessories around...hmmm, maybe create a new vignette!!!
*
Love ya'll,
Chari

The "NOBLEPRIS" Award.....

Hello my friends! Oh my...I am simply elated....two of my very dear friends have honored me with the "NoblePris" or "Wonderful Mother" award! I can't think of a more honorable or noble calling than that of Motherhood! Thank you so very much Melissa and Christine for thinking of me!!!
*
Well now, in celebration of receiving such an honorable award...I believe that I have been given full rights to do just a little bragging....hehe!!! So grab a seat and let me tell you all about my three darling daughters!!!
*
*

This is my first-born, Lisa Marie...she was born on November 5th, 1974. I was really still just a baby myself...I had just turned 18 when I had her! I was such a proud mama...and she was such a pretty baby girl! She was really the perfect baby...I just never had any problems with her. She had such a happy disposition! Lisa is now 34 yrs. old, married and has 3 boys...she lives in south Texas. I'm so very proud of her, she's so beautiful...inside and out...she's such a tenderhearted and loving young woman, so intelligent and very talented! She writes, sings and plays the guitar, to name just a few of her many talents!!!

*
My second born is Aimee Lee...she was born November 18th, 1976! I didn't think I was ever going to have this child...she was nearly a month overdue. Aimee is 32 yrs. old, married and has 2 children...a boy and a girl and lives in south Texas. She manages a very nice apartment community and is such a "go-getter"...I'm so proud of her, she has always been so successful at everything she tries her hand at! She loves interior decorating and in fact she has been very busy with redecorating the model apartment where she works lately! Hmmm...wonder where she got that love for decorating from...hehe!!! Isn't she a pretty girl?
*
*
My youngest daughter Jennifer Lynne is 28 yrs. old, married and has 5 children and also lives in south Texas! Now...Jenni broke the mold for quiet, easy tempered babies! From the time that child was born...she fussed! If there was any noise in the house...it was coming from Jenni...hehe!!! And...she's still that way!!! She has a very boisterous disposition...always joking and laughing! I always call her my "sunshine" because she can always make me laugh...and I'm not just talking about laughing just a little...she has a way about her that she just won't quit until she has me laughing and peeing my pants! Yep...so sorry to be so crude but it just explains my Jenni to a tee!!! She's a wonderful mama to her 5 children...they just think the sun and moon rises and sets in their mama...of course, she's just like one of the kids herself...hehe!!! I sure do admire her patience and fortitude with raising 5 children!!! I'm so proud of her!!!
*
Why...just look at that smile...she even looks onery...doesn't she? Hehe!!!
*
*
Grandma's Brag Book!
*
My three wonderful daughters have given me 10 of the most precious grandbabies ever!!! I'm a tellin' ya...they are truly the "apple of my eye"!!! Each and everyone of them is so sweet and so special...they all make me so very proud!!!
Lisa's boys...Antonio Jr., Alexander James, and Adam Christopher! They're all such good boys, so respectful, smart, and handsome too!!!
*
*
Aimee's children, Noah Jay and Emiliee Brea. Aren't they just the cutest little darlings that you've ever seen? I love their pose for the camera...so cool in their sunshades...hehe!!!
*
*
Jenni's 5 children...Ryan Andrew, Ethan Lee, Erick Wayne, Seth Nicolus, and Caylee Madison! Whew...Jenni had 4 boys before having her little Caylee girl...we didn't think she was ever going to have a girl! This photo was taken this last summer at our local Car Show...they're standing in front of Grandpa Russell's 1970 RS Camaro! Why just look at those 5 little angels!!!
*
*
Hehehe...oh my, and just when I thought my child raising days were over...I met Russell! Russell has a son and a daughter...they were just 6 and 7 yrs. old when we met. You know...I don't really think of them as my step-children...for one thing, they were both so young when I came into the picture...and I've been able to watch them grow and be a mama to them too!!!
*
This photo was taken shortly after I came into their lives...Darrin Andrew is 7 yrs. old and Danielle is 6 yrs. old...aren't they just precious?
*
*
Here is a recent photo of Darrin who will turn 15 this February! He has grown into such a handsome young man!!! He's such a sweet boy...quiet and reserved but very loving! He makes good grades at school and is very good at track! He's been so excited lately because he's going to get his driver's permit in just a couple of months.
*
*
Here is a recent photo of Danielle Alice who will be turning 14 yrs. old in April. Isn't she pretty...she was "striking a pose" for me...hehe!!! She also makes very good grades in school and she loves volleyball and is very good at it! Wow...and can she sing!!! She does solos in her school choir all of the time!!! She always tickles me because she loves to cook and she is always watching all of the cooking shows! Last year I was in Texas during Thanksgiving so Danielle cooked the entire Thanksgiving meal for her daddy, brother, and Grandpa! I was so very proud of her!!!
*
*
Well my friends...thank you so much for endulging this proud Mama's/Grandma's brags!!! I probably bored you to tears so I do apologize...and I kept the brags to a minimum...hehe!!! I really could have just gone on and on...hehe!!! Once again, thank you so very much...Melissa and Christine...for the "Wonderful Mother" award...it was a lovely walk down memory lane for me!!!
*
I'd love to pass this honorable "NoblePris" award on to all of you dear, sweet women that have loved and nurtured your children with that unconditional love that only mamas have!!! And even though my daughters do not have blogs, I still would like to honor them with this "Wonderful Mother" award...I'm so thankful that they are doing an outstanding job raising my grandbabies!!!
*
Love ya'll,
Chari

"Oh Boy...do I have a mess"!!!

Hello my friends! It's been a few days since I was able to post so I thought I'd share with you...my excuse! Hehe!!! As many of you know, we lost Russell's Dad a few weeks ago and things have been so hectic. Not only are we having to tackle all of the legal things but we also have been having to take care of Dad's possessions. It truly is bittersweet....I'm missing Dad terribly but at the same time it's been such a pleasure to be able to take care of some of Russell's Mom & Dad's treasures!!! Sooooo...the journey begins! Finding a home at our place for all of the family heirlooms!

Most of you who know me very well, know that I'm a very organized person...I'm almost OCD with it...eeeekkss!!! So you can only imagine how all of this disorganized mess is just driving me crazy!!! And....I've been working for days at this and still really can't see the "light at the end of the tunnel"! Of course, I have to admit that with each piece that I unpack, a careful examination...amazed admiration....and then my mind wanders to all of the stories that each piece could tell...well, I think you get the picture! I'm usually pretty slow-going...but because of the circumstances...I've really been slow-going with this project!!!

I took a photo so that you can see exactly what I'm talking about...hehe! This is our breakfast bar that seperates our kitchen from the dining room. I couldn't get one more item on it...even if I'd try! Due to the fact that I'm needing to find a home for these newly acquired treasures....there's been quite a bit of "shuffling" things around at my place. There is the full set of my husband's Grandmother's china...crystal...etc. And....you know my love for dishes...I'm so addicted and have several sets of my own...already! Hehe!!! I just didn't have any room for more dishes....so we brought Mom & Dad's china hutch to our house. Well...talk about the "domino effect"....I mean, where oh where, am I going to put a china hutch? After much consideration, we decided to move Darrin's bedroom downstairs (he was elated...being the 15 yr. old teenage boy that he is...and now he has his very first "man-cave"!) So now I have my very own room on the main floor of the house (not to mention the upstairs houses my studio/craft room) I now have a studio/office/craftroom on the main floor...just so we'd have a place to put the china hutch. Ohhhh my, I think you get the picture!!! One thing...keeps leading to another....and this is how I've been spending my time the past couple of weeks!

Believe me...this area looks great now! Hehe!!! I've already unpacked 5 boxes...this is all that I have left to do....for now!!!

Okay....now you aren't going to believe this...like I don't have enough stuff that I'm already dealing with....my honey took me to Hobby Lobby this past weekend! Oh yes...he's the best!!! Hobby Lobby still had Christmas items...all marked down to 90% off!!! Yeeeeehawwww!!! I was in "Hobby Lobby Heaven"...let me tell ya!!! So I also have my dining room table filled with all of my "finds"....and I have to find a place for them too!!! I know...I know...you're thinking that I must be nuts!!! I AM!!! Hehe!!!

Just look at this sweet little Frenchy "Noel"....it's really heavy and was originally $40...I paid $4 for it...couldn't pass this little treasure up!!!

Ooooh...and look at the pretty little fleur de lis tassels that I found...they were orignally $7.99 ea....I only paid .79 cents for them!

Hmmm...I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these pretty little silver frenchy things yet. Last week Cindy over at Romantic Home gave instructions on how to make your own tassels...maybe I'll try making some with these...I think they'd be really pretty!!! Oh yes, and see the little gold cherub?

Well my friends...as you can see, I've been busy!!! I'm not even sure when I'll get to post next...but you'll know what's keeping me! Even though it's lots of work, I've been having the time of my life!!! I have a brand new studio/office to decorate...and just a little secret...it's going to be done in French Toile...my very first toile room!!! I'll save that for another post! Then there is all of the treasured new dishes...there's so much to do...but I'm having so much fun!!!
Love ya'll,
Chari

"It's Pink Saturday"!

Hello and welcome to Pink Saturday! I'd like to give a special thank you to Beverly over at How Sweet The Sound for being our gracious "Pink Saturday" hostess! If you haven't ever been over to Beverly's...go for a little visit! She has some of the prettiest things...today she is showcasing the most beautiful Dresden swan...all adorned with pretty pink roses!

I'd like to share with you today one of my most treasured and cherished possessions..."A Painting of Pink Roses"!

My dearest Grandma painted this beautiful rose picture for me when she was 90 yrs. old! The pretty pink roses remind me of everything that my Grandma was...beautiful, soft, fragrant, precious....and God's gift to me!!! My Grandma was a safe haven for me...she was always there and always loved and supported me unconditionally!!! In all my life, I can't ever remember a harsh or bad word coming from her mouth...she never spoke badly of anyone! She loved the Lord with all of her heart and taught me about Jesus...not only did she teach me about Jesus, but she "lived" Jesus to me! As a child, I remember that every time I went to Grandma's we would start a project...whether it would be sewing, embroidering, or crafting! She was always so patient with me, in fact, she was the most patient person that I've ever known! My Grandma is and was everything that I could ever hope to be...she has always been my hero and role model! I have always wanted to be just like my Grandma!!! My Grandma went to be with Jesus in February of last year....she was 92 yrs. old! I love and miss her...more than words can say, but I purpose to see her again!!!

"A Painting of Pink Roses"

*
This is a photo of my Grandma and me. It was taken at my Grandma's 90th Birthday party! I flew down to Texas...just to surprise her...and surprise her I did!!! I'll never forget the look on her face when she seen me walk through the door....her voice was full of sweet surprise when she called out my name, "Chari"!!! After she called out my name, she was so surprised that she couldn't talk for a minute or two...that was okay...we just hugged and hugged...and kissed and kissed!!!
*

*
This was the last photo taken of Grandma and me. Taken in November of 2007, just 3 months before she passed on into Glory! I snuck a "smooch"...hehe!!! Grandma had been working a "Word Search" puzzle...oh boy, was she ever good with those...and crossword puzzles too!!! She was such an intelligent lady!!!
*

"A Painting of Pink Roses" just seemed so perfect for today's Pink Saturday! Not to mention that pink was my Grandma's favorite color! Nearly everything that my Grandma owned was pink or at least had some pink in it!!! Because of that, whenever I see pink...I always think of her....I love you, Grandma!!!
*
Well my friends, I hope that you're having a wonderful weekend! Thanks so much for stopping in to see me....I love our visits!!!

Love ya'll,
Chari

My Word is "FEARLESS"!

Hello and Happy Wednesday, my friends! I was just visiting over at my friend Lynette's...and she had a fun little "ditty" to play. I always find these personality tests interesting....wondering if they can truly reflect a person's "inner being"!

Go ahead...take the test...you know ya wanna! Hehe!!!

Your Word is "Fearless"

You see life as your one chance to experience everything, and you just go for it!
You believe the biggest risk is being afraid and missing out on something amazing.

Sometimes your fearlessness means you're daring. You enjoy risky activities.
And sometimes your fearlessness means you're courageous. You're brave enough to do the right thing, even when it's scary.

Hmmm..."Fearless"....that's interesting! I don't know how fearless that I am but I'd like to think that the description does paint a fairly accurate portrait of some of the things that are important to me! I will share one little secret about myself....I have never liked to sleep, in fact I think that part of my adult sleep problems are due to this. I have always felt that sleep is a waste of time...and yes, I do realize that we need sleep to keep our bodies healthy....but I have always had the feeling that I'm going to miss out on "something good" while I'm sleeping and that sleep is such a waste of time! I have always felt this...even as a child! Now there's one for the psychologists to figure out...hehe!!!

Have a great day!
Love ya'll,
Chari

A Fairytale Come True

In May of 2004, Russell asked me to marry him....we had been together for three years and we decided to make it "official"...hehe! I'm tellin' ya...our story is a "love story" come true!!! One evening after Russell proposed, he asked me if there was any place in Europe that I could go...where would that be? Immediately I replied, "Switzerland"! A girl has to act fast on these kind of matters (wink!)...hehe!!! So, the honeymoon trip was planned and booked! We had the time of our lives planning this trip...where would we go...and what did we want to see? Ohhhh my...there was so much to do and so much to look forward to!!! There was luggage to buy...a wardrobe to plan for....

At last, we were married June 4th, 2005!!! With the "I Do's" behind us, one week later we boarded the plane in Denver and we were on our way to Zurich, Switzerland for our European honeymoon!!! We really wanted to see Europe...to get off of the "touristy beaten path" so we rented a car. We had two weeks in Europe and we wanted to see and do as much as we could! We drove through the countryside of Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, and Italy! I really do think that I am a woman blessed among women...not only did I marry the love of my life but we were honeymooning in Europe!!! It just doesn't get any better than that!!!

Okay...back to the purpose of this post...hehe!!!
Here is the 4th photo in the 4th photo file in our pictures.

Lil' ol' me in Horw, Switzerland

The first "trek" of our journey:

After playing in Zurich for a couple of days, we decided to take a drive through the Swiss Alps. We drove from Zurich into central Switzerland known as the Oberland. While in Europe, we seen some of the most beautiful scenery but this drive through the Swiss Alps was my favorite!!! It was breathtaking...so picturesque!!! As long as I live, I'll never forget it!!!

As we drove the winding roads...we could see all of these quaint little Alpine villages nestled into the mountainsides. I just couldn't stand it any longer and asked Russell to take me up to one of the little villages...and being the wonderful husband he is...he did just that! The photo above was taken in the village of Horw. We parked the car and walked up the little cobblestone road...all the while I was thinking, how in the world did these people drive this road in the winter when it was covered with feet of snow? Just look at the beautiful homes....the home in the background with it's pretty red shutters was glorious!!!

Below is another photo of one of the homes in Horw. Now this is just how I pictured a home to look in the Swiss Alps...didn't you?

Of course, everything is built on the hillside....just look at the little vineyard that is planted in someone's backyard!

As you can see...the quaint little village of Horw is really built in a valley. It surrounds this beautiful lake! Do you see the sheep in the backyard of this home?

Well, it was time to be on our way! Back to the highway for us...but just look at the picturesque scenery! We were at such a high elevation that the clouds were beside and below us...ohhh my! And just look at the waterfall!!!

Another quaint little Alpine Swiss village! This is the village of Diesselbach! Just look at that beautiful blue water! These Alpine lakes were amazing...each of them were the most beautiful shade of blue/green that you could ever imagine! And look at how green the grass is! The Swiss Alps were covered in velvety green grass! If you enlarge this photo, you can see that this little village was built on the edge of a cliff...just look at the lake...everything seems to just disappear behind it!

Our final destination was Interlocken, Switzerland! This town sits right in the middle of the Alps and is very well known for it's skiing! I'll save those photos for another day! I do hope that you enjoyed your little trip through the Swiss Alps! I would love to go back...ahhhh...maybe some day!!!

Now it's time to play "Tag"! As part of the "Photo Tag" rules, I am to tag four more people. Let's play...."Tag, Now you're it!"
