"Sunday Favorites" is a new Sunday meme designed to give bloggers a chance to share a favorite post from the past!!!Hello my friends! Welcome to the 2nd run of "Sunday Favorites"!!!
Last Sunday we celebrated the first ever...brand spankin' new...Sunday meme called "Sunday Favorites"!!! I was just tickled pink with the interest and participation of so many bloggers! We had 37 participants! What a GRAND OPENING!!! Thank you so very much for making this brand new Sunday meme such a success!!! I really enjoyed visiting with each and every participant and I just loved all of the past posts that you bloggers chose to share, once again, with all of us!!!

I really do count it an honor to host this Sunday event! I think we're going to have great fun!!! It's always fun to take a tour through a delightful blog post, to get some great ideas and be inspired, and to make some new friends along the way!!!

I would like to give you a little background as to how this "Sunday Favorites" meme was born! Last Sunday I really wanted to post something but I was short on time, it was another busy weekend! So I decided to just dig back into some of my previously published posts...and simply repost one of my favorites!

It was at that moment I had an epiphany...a light bulb went off! Hehe!!! This, in a "nut shell", was how "Sunday Favorites" was born!!!

"Sunday Favorites" is a meme designed to give bloggers an opportunity to share, once again, one of their favorite posts! I just love this idea!!! So many fabulous posts have been published...and regrettably, forgotten about...they have been buried under a myriad of previous posts. I just believe these fabulous posts deserve a second showing!!!
We must remember...each new day in Blogland brings new viewers/bloggers. So many haven't seen your fabulous past posts. "Sunday Favorites" will make these posts available for viewing once again!!!
**AND**
Many of us would really like to post something on the weekends, however the weekend is such a busy time! There just isn't time to get a blog post together! "Sunday Favorites" offers an opportunity to get a post out during the weekend without having to spend the time to put one together! Am I talkin the truth now? Hehe!!!
It's so very simple...so easy and with so little time involved! If you're like me, the most time involved will be trying to decide which post to republish! Hehe!!!

"A Love Affair" & Tablescape Thursday....
Hello my friends...welcome to Tablescape Thursday! Tablescape Thursday is hosted by my friend Susan over at Between Naps On The Porch...it's great fun and the list of tablescape participants grows each week! "A Love Affair"
My honey and I are still having a love affair...ahhhh...LOVE!!! In celebration of love...this Valentine's Day I have set the table for a special dinner! It's a "classic" Valentine's tablescape...all decked out in red and white! With fruit...candles for ambiance...and a cupid to boot (just to watch over the whole affair)!
I didn't go out and purchase anything special...just gathered a few things that I already had on hand!

An intimate dinner for two...just for my honey and me!!!
Valentines Day is an easy decorate in my red & white dining room!
Here you can see the "Cupid Watchman" centerpiece. This little angel is made out of masonary and is quite heavy...I added two masonary urn candleholders topped off with little birds to each side of the cupid.
With a closer view...you might be asking what that is in the hand of the cupid? It is a dried rose that was my honey's bootiner when we were married!
I just adore this pretty little white fruit platter...can you see the embossed fruit around the edges? I placed two little birds on the handle...a recent find from Michaels for only .75 ea.
Dark red placemats...embossed white charger plates...dark red dinner plates...and red transferware dessert plates make up the tablesetting. I used a dark red satin napkin with a glass crystal ball on a gold tassel for the napkin ring.
Simple but classic!
Ahhhh...I do believe that "love is in the air....for a love affair to remember"! I'm looking forward to an intimate Valentines Day dinner with my honey!

Oooops...I almost forgot! Wanted to let you know that I finally got the drapery rod and brackets that I ordered....here's a little preview!

See the old looking doorknob...that is the finial for the drapery rod...I just love it! Well...now maybe I can get those toile draperies hung!
