Transitions...

*

*
Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
*
Wow...here we are...already into the second week of March! I have been a busy little bee this past week...decorating...cleaning...and doing more decorating! The seasons are changing...winter is slowly giving way to spring! Here in Colorado...the key word being "slowly"! Hehe! Yes...we are still experiencing some pretty cold temperatures, in fact snow is in our forecast for the next couple of days! But...I am soooo ready for spring...I really do have a terrible case of spring fever this year!
*
~Transitions~
*
I really do enjoy the "transition" between seasons. I also really enjoy changing the decor of my home from season to season. I am ready to put my home's warm "winter frocks" away and start bringing in the lighter and brighter colors of spring! How about you...are you beginning to decorate for spring?
*
Transitioning from Winter to Spring...

The dining room table in my french country dining room.
*
I enjoy decorating with pinecones for the autumn and winter seasons. I love the "au natural" feel and texture that pinecones can bring to a home's decor. We have several large pine trees at our place so pinecones are plentiful!
*
Now that spring is nearly at our doorstep...it was time to say goodbye to the pinecones! I bagged them all up...sooo carefully...sooo tenderly...for they have served me well this winter season.
*
But before they go to storage heaven...I thought I would create a "transitional" vignette. Transitioning from winter into spring! I hope that you enjoy!
*

*
Sooo beautiful! The rough and rustic feel of pinecones paired with the elegance of a creamy white ironstone pitcher and a couple of white lacy tea napkins!
*

*
My mama gave this pretty little pitcher to me when I went to Texas a couple of summers ago. I just adore its curvy lines...sooo frenchy looking!
*
The pinecones, pitcher, and lace napkins are all sitting atop a white charger plate. I purchased a set of these pretty chargers from JC Penneys. The pattern is called "Lace". I love the embossed fleur de lis pattern around the scalloped rim of the charger!
*

Voila...a "transitional" vignette...
*
Goodbye winter...hello spring!!!
*
*
I am joining these fabulous parties...
*

Metamorphosis Monday...hosted by Susan over at Between Naps on the Porch.
*

Table Top Tuesday...hosted by Marty over at A Stroll Thru Life.
*
Thank you, Susan and Marty...for hosting these fabulous parties for us!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
*
Well my friends...hopefully I will be getting a few photos of some of the seasonal changes in our home's decor soon...so stay tuned!
I am sooo glad that you stopped by for a visit today! Please leave me a note and let me know that you were here...I'd love to visit with you!
*
Warmest Wishes!
Hi Chari,
Well I am getting ready for spring too!! Redecorated my hutch after the holidays and now it's ready for the season..I can't wait for Spring...you know how I love to be out in the garden..and it's still too cold! I love all the fresh white on your table! The dishes with the white napkins are so pretty. I'm a pine cone fan too..I usually have a bowl of them sitting out during the holidays. Love those white iron pieces as it gives your vignette some nice contrast. Beautiful vignette as always! Happy (almost) Spring!
Hi Chari! I'm so NOT ready for spring yet. Guess I'm still in transition mode! I just enjoy winter so much - hate to see the wind, heat, and bugs arrive. Not much new around here - I'm trying to gear up a little for a class reunion in Santa Fe in April, then my trip to Europe in May. Needless to say, I'm not spending much money these days - have to save for these wonderful trips. We did go to Denver last week for a couple of days and antiqued ourselves crazy along Broadway, etc.; but didn't buy a single thing. I just kept thinking of Paris, Meissen, etc. etc. But, we sure had a good time looking. Hope everything is well with you. Sally
Love, love, love that ironstone pitcher. If I'm not mistaken, those lacy napkins are Battenburg lace!!! I LOVE that - - - I want to find a bed skirt made of that.
Your photos are beautiful and the contrast of the dark pinecone against the white is so nice. Great transitional.
Chari I used lots of pinecones in my transition time too! They are just the perfect decoration accessory!
We are doing fine over here though busy of course but I have been so thankful for the strength. I have been amazed (which I shouldn't bee caz God is so Good!) at how I have felt lately and it is nothing that I am doing different on my part. So thankful for it though!
How have you been friend? Any hint of Spring up your way yet?
bee blessed
Hi Chari,
I love your sweet pinecone vignette!
Oh my dear, I am so sick of winter and so ready for spring!
And of course, we have more of that white stuff on the way.
Will it ever end?
I am so trying to think spring and get some decorating done. But... I just need some of that snow to melt. hehe.
I love that pitcher your Mama gave you! It's got such pretty lines!
Not much going on here. Just the same old.
Very pretty Chari! I was at the blog Bonjour Romance where Mimi showed a vignette with the same mercury glass ornament as in your header....My first thought was "hey she borrowed that from Chari!" *winks* Is it yours? If not y'all are channeling the same vibe! Vanna
You are right! Transition between seasons is great fun, especially the redecorating of our place from one season to the other, is very enjoyable and exciting chores for the whole family as well. Your works are fantastic, you set your tables with nostalgic memorabilia that made you reminisced of your past, pretty cool. You can refurbish everything through, [url=http://www.schoolofinteriordesign.org/]Interior Design Makeover [url] tha certainly add to what you learn from here.
I look out the window every day watching the snow fall and wish for spring. Winter is finally yielding a little and there is hope that soon the snow will start to melt. Your vignette in its lovely crisp colors gives me a pick me up that spring will come. Thanks so much for sharing Chari.
