And...It's a Wrap!!!

*
*
*
Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
*
Myyyy...ohhh MY! Christmas has come...and gone! I don't know about
you, but the week that follows Christmas is always kind of a let down for me.
All the busyness of the season...slows...and it's time to get things back to normal!
I love Christmas and it would be just fine by me...if it never ended! Hehe!
*
I hope that each of you had a wonderful and blessed Christmas! I
certainly did! My two step-children are still here visiting. I will be spending
the week enjoying them...and I will begin the arduous process of putting away all
the Christmas decor. Yesterday I purchased several nice, heavy plastic storage
bins.  I'm hoping to go through all of my Christmas and organize it a bit!
 It may take me awhile...eeeks!
*
Anyway, I will be back next week. In the meantime, I thought I would
share just a bit more of the silver and white Christmas decor in my french
country dining room (there are a few new photos taken from a different angle in
my dining room).  I just loved how it turned out...I'm still really enjoying it! I
have decided to leave it...as is...at least for the month of January! It looks
January Wintery! I hope you enjoy! I will see you soon, sweet friends!!!

Shimmering Silver and Sparkling White
"Wintery January"
*
*
A vintage silver soup tureen filled with mercury glass ornaments...nestled into
fresh pine boughs...serves as the table centerpiece in my dining room.
*
I added white pearl berry picks into the pine greenery...along with a few mercury
 glass pinecones and silver/white ornaments.
*
*
White organza ribbon...twirls and swirls...around the jeweled
 mercury glass ornaments!
*
I love this look! I just threaded the ribbon through the loops on the top of the ornaments.
*
*
*
*
*
Hmmm...I guess I will take the "NOEL" signs out of the
centerpiece for January...otherwise the rest can stay!
*
...and...
*
It's a Wrap!
*
*
Saying so long to Christmas 2010! It was fabulous! *

I have to admit that there is always a little let down after all the hustle and bustle.
If you could see the mess at my house right now you would shudder. I work at it bit by bit. Run another dishwasher load, eat some chocolates, sweep up some sparkles, eat some ham, put some bottles away.... you get the picture.

Gorgeous! You should hire yourself out as a decorator! It is a let down compared to all the work it takes to get there.

Oh Chari Sweetie...
I couldn't agree more. Always a let down after all the hustle and bustle of Christmas. We don't do as much for the New Year at all.

I love, love, love the table arrangement that you made. It is SO elegant and I too would be leaving it up for awhile. It is so seasonal for the winter and it looks so beautiful on your table.

Have a beautiful New Year. Many hugs and much love, Sherry

That first picture is a magazine shot, Chari! Love it! I think I feel more of a dragging after Christmas because I know I have to put all this stuff away. Somehow it seems to be put up and out a lot faster than what it takes to put it away!

Hi Char, Yes I would leave the wintery center piece up for awhile, come Valentines day you could cheat and pull the pine cones and add some heart! Tee-he. I just pulled all the boxes out of the garage for a start then once our up coming rain that we are expecting, I'll get busy packing up. Sure is a job, but I love putting it up and I'm one who is guilty of not taking pic's of everything! I love my little grand babies but I'm plumb wore out. 3 under the age of 6 in one finally did me in. I need to go eat some more chocolate just to keep up and running, then be good after Jan 1st! Happy New Year and many Hugs! Marilou

It will work great for a Winter table setting - so pretty!
My tree and dining table decorations will still be around for another week, as our big celebration is not until next weekend.
Have a great week!

I love that centerpiece...it will be perfect for January. It glistens!

I feel a little like you, I just don't think I have your energy level! Even though most of our festivities were away from home, I feel like my house is a mess! Maybe it is my mind! lol!!

Enjoy your time with the kids!

Jane

Chari,
Oh, how exquisite! I am so loving the wintery mix of silver, mercury glass and white! Thank you for knowing the next direction I'm heading and walking me through the process. "Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but Chari's decor is so delightful!" I just finished one mercury glass and white display at the store this morning, now I'm ready to begin at home!
Thank you for sharing!
Fondly,
Pat

very pretty - I agree the silver and white can go all the way through January - the day after Christmas is such a let down as all the gifts are gone and all you have left is decor you want gone ASAP! :) Thanks for sharing!

Your silver and white is simply stunning, Chari! Your dining room is elegant and wintry. My dining room centerpiece is the only thing I am leaving up for a while. Everything but the trees is now packed up. Whew, what a job. I have 20 boxes of that and I still have the ornaments from the three trees. I didn't put the other 4 this year- time just got away from me. Wishing you a very Happy New Year and only good things to come! hugs, Sue

Hi Chari,
I'm glad you are leaving your table decor, it is just too pretty to take apart and put away for another year. I don't have anything special on my table at the moment, but I shall have to get busy on that shortly.
You are so right! Christmas should really last much longer. I'm glad you still have your step-kids with you visiting. I only saw mine through skipe and I just wanted to sit and cry, I could hardly talk, it was just too much. They were all alone, together, in Vancouver and we were with their only relatives out here in Saskatchewan and I just couldn't stand it. I was sick with a nasty cold and it made it hard to talk and I was much too emotional. Oh dear, what will I do with myself?
I have loved all of your comments on my posts, thank you for being such a great blogger friend.
Love, hugs and best wishes for 2011.

I'm so jealous of all your gorgeous silver! I decided I need silver serving pieces this year...but deciding that and finding them that I can afford are two different things. I'll just have to live through you vicariously.
