Welcome to the 26th "Sunday Favorites"

Hello my friends!

Welcome to the 26th run of "Sunday Favorites"!!!
**
I hope that you're having a wonderful weekend! It's going to be a very busy weekend for me...we will be run...run...RUNNING! Hehe! This is our weekend to have Russell's children. They live a couple of hours away from us...so we will get up early Saturday morning and head up that way. Darrin, our 15 yr. old, has a Cross Country track meet so we will be joining him at the meet and when it's finished we'll head up to pick up Danielle! Of course I'm preparing this post on Friday since we will have the weekend pretty tied up!
*
I'm hoping that while we're up getting the kids that I can do some shopping...there is a Hobby Lobby there! Yeeeehawwww! Hobby Lobby here I come! Hehe! Anyway...we will then have to drive back home...probably getting here just in time to go to bed. Then we will have to make the trip again on Sunday to take the kids back to their mother's. Ohhh my...that is a total of eight hours just in driving time!!! I'm so glad that we are able to prepare a blog post ahead of time and schedule when it is to be published since I will be away from home!
*
And...this is just another reason why I really do love Sunday Favorites! It's so quick and easy to just republish a past post...a "lifesaver" for times when we are just too busy!!! Since I probably won't be back home till late Sunday evening, I won't be able to visit you until Monday...but rest assured...I'll be by for a visit and to see all of those fabulous Sunday Favorite's reruns!!!*
***
Well my friends...Thank you so much for coming by today! Have a super Sunday!!!

~~~~~~~~
Thank you so much for your participation!!! I am going to really enjoy going through your "Sunday Favorites" posts!!!
Love ya'll,
Chari
It's "Three or More Tuesday"!!!
Hello my friends! It's time for "Three or More Tuesday"! This fun filled event is hosted by Tam over at The Gypsy's Corner. You won't want to miss out on Tam's post today...and while you're there...you can visit all of the other "Three or More Tuesday" participants!
Thank you, Tam...for hosting this fun filled Tuesday event! Sure do appreciate you, my friend!
Trays 101...
*
Today for "Three or More Tuesday" I would like to share with you a few of my trays...I'm talking about "serving" trays of course!
I just love trays...not only are they very useful or functional but they are also great for decorating! In fact, a beautifully designed tray can be a work of art all in itself! Do you have a pretty tray that you like? How do you use your trays?
*
Mmmm.....Hot Cocoa Anyone?
Hehe...okay it may be a bit warm for hot cocoa...but it won't be long till cocoa time...Autumn is just around the corner!
*
This is a black wooden tray that I've had for some time...in fact, I can't even remember where I got it! Eeeeks...a senior moment here! Hehe! Last Christmas I used this black tray to set up my "Hot Cocoa Station". I just love my little snowmen mugs and canister! The canister is perfect for storing hot cocoa. I placed spoons in one of the snowmen cups and cinnamon sticks in another. This tray certainly proved to be functional as well as decorative!
*
*
Okay...since it's still a bit warm out for hot cocoa...maybe a cool glass of wine or grape juice would suit you better!
**
*
Again...the same black serving tray!
Having Guests Stay Over?
A Guest Tray
**
How about treating your guests with a "guest tray"! A little ironstone pitcher filled with fresh flowers...a pretty glass for water...and an organza bag full of Andes chocolate mints!
*
This is my Tea Rose bedroom...or guest room! I just love "treating" my guests! This tray is metal...a soft shade of green with a beautiful floral design painted in gold. Hmmm...maybe this tray will be used again...breakfast in bed?
**
A Silver Tray and a Vignette!*
I created this vignette for Marty's Cloche Party! Here I used one of my silver trays...for merely decorative purposes. It serves as a foundation for the vignette! The silver ties in perfectly with the silver pieces that I wanted to use and it lends an elegant feel...just what I hoped to achieve for this vignette!
** *
*
Again...a silver tray used as the foundation for a vignette!
* *
A Tray and a Tablescape Centerpiece
This is my "Dollar Store" tablescape! Nearly everything you see in this tablescape was found at the Dollar Tree! I used a white wicker tray for the centerpiece. It holds a vase of flowers, a candle, a couple of pears, and extra table napkins.
*
Besides the decorative aspects, using a tray for the centerpiece makes it easy to remove from the table, if necessary, for dining! I love this idea!
** *
A Creamy White Lattace Tray
Ohhh...I just love this ceramic lattace work tray!!! I found it at the thrift store...you should have seen me do the "happy dance"!
*
Hmmm...how will I use it? It would be great to serve bread or dinner rolls. Maybe it will hold apples or oranges for the counter?
*
I added fruit (it's faux...sorry! Hehe!) and two sweet little birds to this tray...it sits on the bar in the kitchen!
* *
Some Trays Are New...Some Trays Are Old!
This beautiful Pink Depression glass is actually a platter but I decided to use it as a tray for the Depression glass tumblers! Thinking outside of the box...Hehe!
*
*
Speaking of "thinking outside of the box"...
I have trays for silver candleholders....
*
I have trays to display things on...
* *
I even have trays on the wall....
*
I do love my trays!!! They are so versatile...and you gotta love that!!!
*
~~~~~~~~~~
*
Well my friends...I'm so happy that you came by today! Please leave me a comment and let me know that you were here...I would love to visit with you!
*
Love ya'll,
Chari

I was amazed at all your wondeful trays and the clever ways that you have found to use them.
The guest bedroom is so lovely I could just check in and feel right at home.

You asked me about my fall dishes that I posted a few weeks ago...(sorry it's taken me so long to reply) the china pattern is Kyoto made by Momoyama and it is still available online. My mother gave me this wonderful set of china and I love to use it every Thanksgiving. Hope your Sunday is wonderful...Thanks for always being the most gracious hostess! Miss Bloomers/Sonia

You have some great trays -- I, too, love trays and have way more than I need -- but whenever I see a good one, I often can't resist!

Your trays are tres gorgeous!

I love trays, too, but unlike Martha I don't have too many of them. I have not enough!

I LOVE your white porcelain lattice one, and the silver one, and the black one ... and on and on.

You give Andes chocolates to your guests? Can I come for a sleepover?

Great post. Cass

Thank you so much for your complimentary post on my blog and my refinished desk! It led me to your blog, which is just lovely. I am now a follower! I love your romantic style and use of antiques. I am also a big fan of hanging plates on the wall. Cheap, easy, and looks great.

Love all your trays, Chari...especially the silver ones.
I also use trays for vignettes mostly seashells.... and sometimes more for ease of cleaning as I can move the entire tray to dust under.
I also really appreciate your help in the use of Ed's Flickr toys and the frosted glass...I used it on my Mosaic Monday post and now I have lots of bloggers asking me how I did it!!!
I think I will post the "How to" on my blog so I don't have to answer each one individually.
Thanks again....you're the greatest.

Good Morning Chari,
First, thank-you from the bottom of my heart for your sweet notes and all the compliments. I am getting excited about getting the guest room put together and your tea rose bedroom is such an inspiration! We're painting the walls a pale yellow called lemonade slush and then 1 wall is a little darker and that's called bumblebee yellow. The room was my step-son Jacob's room and it was painted kind of a dark brownish/beige. It looked nice for a boys room but not for my guest room. I never could find bedding I liked to go with it. Anyway, enough about me. It sounds like you had a very busy week-end. I think the getting the motel room sounds like a good idea. All that running can really wear you out. How's your weather? We had one very nice day, yesterday it hit 70 degrees but it sounds like we're heading the otherway again. Do you have any big plans this week? I am just feathering my nest and getting ready for AZ. It's still getting up to 100 there. Goodness, I hope it changes next week. I am getting excited about seeing my son and DIL. Now, I need to go check out your tea rose bedroom again for some more inspiration! Hugs to you my friend, Cindy
