My Contribution to Pink Saturday...
I love pink..and I love ebay! Hehe!
A couple of weeks ago I found this beautiful pink china up for auction. There were four salad/dessert plates and four dinner plates. As soon as I seen them...I thought about my new set of china and how pretty these pieces on ebay would look with it!
The price was certainly right...so I watched the auction and made my bid!
I WON THE AUCTION!!!
This china pattern is called Norway Rose and it's made by Cunningham & Pickett. I just love the single pink rose in the center of the plates. The leaves are a silvery sage green color. The band on this china is just the prettiest shade of pink!!!
This is what the new Norway Rose china looks like with my china.
The Place Setting...
The white charger plate is called "Lace" from JC Penneys.
The dinner plate is Roselet by Harmony House.
This was my late mother-in-law's china and I feel so blessed to have it! It's such a beautiful set! There is a 6 piece place setting for 10...along with all of the serving pieces!
The salad/dessert plate is Norway Rose by Cunningham & Pickett.
I think that the new Norway Rose china adds some interest and coordinates very well with the Roselet china!!! Now I can "mix up" the place settings when I would like a different look!
A "Change-about"...
This is what the place setting looks like using the new Norway Rose dinner plate with the Roselet salad/dessert plate.
I'm very pleased at how the well the "pinks" go together!!! Also, each set of china has the same silver rimming...soooo perfect!!!
Not only is my new Norway Rose china just perfect with the Roselet china...
but it only cost me $11.98!!! Ohhhh yea!!!

Happy "Pink Saturday" Birthday!!!
Love ya'll,
Chari

Chari, what a surprise to see your Norway Rose. That was my first set of china when I got married. I had the pink and my sister had a similar set that was green. As sometimes happens some of the pieces got broken and eventurally I gave her mine since they could be mixed and matched. It is so good to see that you have some of this china. It is just beautiful with your other pink. Love it. Brought back lots of memories. Hugs, Marty

Oh Chari, I love these plates! I placed a bid on something similar on ebay but lost and they were made by Homer Laughlin so maybe they weren't exactly the same, but very similar. I just love the color, so dainty and sweet. And they are perfect how you display them so nicely on your tables. Happy Pink Saturday, my friend!....Christine

ReplyDeleteHi Chari,
ReplyDeleteMy dear, these are so, so pretty! What a fabulous deal! They look perfect with your MIL's china! This is the perfect pink post! Feminine with china. Lovely! I looked again at all your posts on rate my space and I am so impressed with your decorating skills! You seem to have endless ideas flowing. I may have to pick your brain a little, your red dining room was really a fabulous transformation! Thanks for your sweet comments, Western Wisconsin is mostly very hilly and there are lots of Scandinavian folks who settled here because the terrain reminded them of Norway and Sweden. We actually only have 2 acres but it's all yard, surrounded by woods. It's quite rural. I will be back later for your Sunday Favorites, I hope your week-end is going well. Hugs, Cindy
Wow, the china is gorgeous & the price amazing! Great score!
ReplyDeleteHappy PINK Saturday! ☺ Diane
What a gorgeous win!!! Pink and roses...the perfect pair. They match your china so beautifully. as if they were an original set.
ReplyDeleteI've been hunting high and low for pink dishes...to no avail.
I did find lovely blush pink stemware during the Easter season. The sales clerk assured me if I just waited they'd continue to go down on price (more than they were on sale for at the time). Well, I waited and when I went back to the store to purchase them, they had already been replaced by summer inventory. EEKS! So, it's back to the hunt. After seeing your finds I will try Ebay again.
Sweet wishes,
Sara

ReplyDeleteDear Chari,
ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Pink Saturday Birthday. It may take me all week but I am going to make it around to each person.
I love your dishes and I have seen that pattern some where. I will figure it out and go through some of my odd plates and see if by chance it is me...now that would be a hoot...but I love to buy odd plates and take cookies and such to people and let them have the plate.
I read your Sunday repeat post and your Monday post. I love the glass containers of your precious MIL. They are so very pretty.
