Hello my friends!

I hope that you're having a wonderful weekend, my friends!  Wow...can you believe that we are nearing the end of August?  Autumn is just around the corner.  I can hardly wait...it is my favorite season of the year!  It won't be long and I will be dragging all of my autumn decor boxes out of storage.  I just love decorating for fall!
*
With the thought of Autumn approaching...today for Sunday Favorites...I thought I would share one of my "favorite" posts called "Cindrella Sweater Pumpkins"...originally posted on October 11, 2010.  I hope that you enjoy!

Well my friends...I'm looking forward to seeing your Sunday Favorites posts this week and visiting with you!  You can sign up for the party at the end of this post!

Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
*
I love fairy tales...and the story of Cinderella is one of my favorites! Ohhh...and I love autumn too! Soooo...when I received these sweet little Cinderella sweater pumpkins as a gift from my sweet friend Mary...I just swooned!!! I mean...could it get any sweeter? Pretty little pumpkins that belonged to Cinderella!!!
*
Mary explains the story of the Cinderella sweater pumpkins over at her place...Mary's Meanderings blog. If you haven't ever met Mary or visited her delightful blog...you are really missing out on a treat! Mary is one of the dearest and sweetest ladies that you could ever hope to meet and she is such a creative and talented lady as well! Mary makes these adorable little Cinderella sweater pumpkins...you can check them out over at her blog...and she has them for sale!

Cinderella Sweater Pumpkins...
*
You remember the story of Cinderella...don't you?
*
Cinderella wanted to go to the Ball...where she would meet her Prince Charming...and dance the night away. But first, she would need the proper attire and a way to get to the Ball. Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, who was certainly a "God-send" if you ask me, arrived on the scene and with one quick wave of her magic wand...outfitted Cinderella in the most gorgeous Ball gown and she also created a very fine coach out of a little pumpkin to take Cinderella to the Ball. There was only "one catch" to the magic! The magic would turn back to reality...at midnight! Ohhh my!
*
Cinderella stepped into the lovely pumpkin coach...dressed in that gorgeous, one-of-a-kind Ball gown! It was a chilly evening so Fairy Godmother waved her wand and whoooosssh...Cinderella now had the most beautiful knitted shawl to drape over her shoulders for warmth. Upon arrival at the castle...Cinderella took the knitted shawl off of her shoulders and placed it on the seat of the coach...after all, she wanted everyone to see that gorgeous Ball gown!
*
Well...you know how the rest of the story goes. The clock struck midnight and whoooosssh... Cinderella's beautiful coach turned back into a pumpkin...
*
and...lo and behold...there they were...SWEATER PUMPKINS!
*
Somehow the magic was confounded...and the coach that was magically created from a pumpkin...and Cinderella's beautiful sweater shawl that was laying upon the seat of the coach...were all magically meshed together...into one!
*
Ohhh my...and the most beautiful sweater pumpkins that you have ever seen...were just sitting there on the ground...why there was an entire pumpkin patch full of sweater pumpkins! They really are the most beautiful, magical, little pumpkins that you have ever seen!!!
*
*
My three, magical, Cinderella sweater pumpkins have been added to a vignette in my bedroom!
*
*
This summer, my master bedroom received a redo!
If you would like to see more of my bedroom...just click HERE.
*
Nostalgic old bottles filled with candles and shells, and a couple of old, well-worn books...decorate the top of this book case that sits beside the bed. I didn't change a thing...just added my beautiful Cinderella sweater pumpkins to the mix! They really are so perfect...and look like they were made...just for this little vignette!
*
*
*
Sweater pumpkin No.1...up close and personal!
*
Ohhh...I just adore it!
*
The soft cream color...
the beautiful cable knit pattern...
and those adorable little strings with buttons!!!
*
Sweater pumpkin No.2...up close and personal!*
*
I love the color and texture of this pretty pumpkin!
Ohhh...and the knit ribbing that makes up the stem of the pumpkin is gorgeous!
 More pretty string and buttons!!!
*
Sweater pumpkin No.3...upclose and personal!
*
*I love this little chubby pumpkin!!! He is perfect!!!
*
A magical autumn vignette for my bedroom!
*
Mary, thank you soooo much for gifting me with these precious Cinderella sweater pumpkins! They are just as sweet and magical as you, my dear friend!
*
Well my friends, I hope that you enjoyed my sweet little Cinderella sweater pumpkins! You'll just have to meander over to Mary's place and take a peek at all of the pretty Cinderella sweater pumpkins that she has been creating! Hmmm...does that make Mary the Fairy Godmother??? Ohhh my!
*
Well my friends...thank you so much for coming by today! Please leave me a comment and let me know that you were here...I'd love to visit with you!!!*

Warmest Autumn Wishes!

***Just a little note: Sunday Favorites Criteria***
*
When I first started the Sunday Favorites meme, my initial thought was to offer a solution for getting a post out on the weekend without having to spend alot of time doing so...weekends are just a busy time for most of us! Copying and pasting a previous post is so quick and easy. Not only is this a quick and easy solution to the busy weekends, but it's also an opportunity to dig back into our blog archives and share a favorite "past" post once again! Many of us spend alot of time and effort creating a post and it just seems a shame that it is viewed only once and then forgotten about!
*
I would like to reiterate that Sunday Favorites is a meme about sharing or revisiting a post from the PAST!
*
Thank you!!! *

Oh my - I just love, love, love these Cinderella Pumpkins. I bet Martha will be envious she doesn't have these. haha I have got to get myself some Goodwill sweaters and try this out. I think my fave is #2. I love the texture and the fun quality of it. Thanks for sharing your very sweet gift from Mary. Also, I enjoyed seeing your bedroom makeover. LOVE your new linens. I know you have probably shared this info with me before, but what part of CO are you in? I lived in Broomfield for 3 yrs and my son and DIL were stationed at Ft Carson for 8 yrs. I miss CO. We are supposed to go see some friends there hopefully before the year is out. Would love to meet you. Hugs and Happy Sunday. Barb
