Just a little note: Sunday Favorites Criteria
When I first started the Sunday Favorites meme, my initial thought was to offer a solution for getting a post out on the weekend without having to spend alot of time doing so...weekends are just a busy time for most of us! Copying and pasting a previous post is so quick and easy. Not only is this a quick and easy solution to the busy weekends, but it's also an opportunity to dig back into our blog archives and share a favorite "past" post once again! Many of us spend alot of time and effort creating a post and it just seems a shame that it is viewed only once and then forgotten about!
I would like to reiterate that Sunday Favorites is a meme about sharing or revisiting a post from the PAST!
Thank you!!!

Sunday Favorites
My favorite post from: February 16, 2010 * * * Beauté Classique de Perles! * Actually the reason that I took photos of this vignette was due to the pretty lighting effect! Just look at the dancing lights being reflected upon the sofa and floor...they are coming from the sunlight shining upon the pearls on the candleholders. The reflecting light sends "dancing spots" around the room...it's soooo pretty...the effect is absolutely magical!!! * They are quite unique! The glass candleholders have a mosaic inlay of a beautiful pearlized glass...and there are rows and rows of creamy white pearls that wrap around the bowl!!! I just love these pretty candleholders!!! They make a very elegant looking "trio" ...don't you think? Secrets of French Design by Betty Lou Phillips * * I am joining in with Tam over at The Gypsy's Corner for "Three or More Tuesday"! I am joining in with Barb over at Grits and Glamour for the Tuesday "Tabletops, Vignettes, and Favorite Accessories" party!
Hello my friends...I hope that you're having a fabulous week!
*
I'm getting a late start of it...but today I would like to share with you a vignette in my livingroom. I'm joining in with Tam's "Three or More Tuesday" party and Barb's "Tabletops, Vignettes, and Favorite Accessories". You will find credits for these fabulous Tuesday parties at the end of the post!

Beauté Classique de Perles…
This vignette sits atop a small table in my livingroom. Simplistic...yet elegant!
*
I have recently rearranged this area of the livingroom...due to the addition of a faux fireplace. I am on the lookout for a round, upholstered ottoman for this spot...but until I find "THE" piece, I have placed a small end table in this area.

The Vignette...
(The Classic Beauty of Pearls)
*
Three candleholders of varying heights sit upon a stack of French decorating books...a small creamy white (cast iron) bird joins the mix. A beautiful, fringed, tapestry scarf...grounds the vignette. Ahhh...simplistic elegance!!!
*
Dancing Lights...
*
I love how beautiful the pearl candleholders look as the sunlight shines upon and through them!!!
*
I found the pearl candleholders at Hobby Lobby. A few months ago, I found two of these pretty candleholders and then I found a taller (twin) during the "after Christmas" sale...for just $3. Of course, I had to get it! Hehe!

Three of my favorite French decorating books:
Provencal Interiors by Betty Lou Phillips
French Country Signature by Charles Faudree

My "artsy" photos...

I have become very interested in photography as of late. I'm only an amateur...at best! I love the light and shadows in the photo above!
*
Below...is my favorite photo of the vignette! I love how the arched window, with the subtle light of the blue sky, can be seen in the background! Ohhh...and you can see my little french girl peeking out in the background as well! The pearl candleholders look so pretty with the sunlight shining upon them...don't you think?
*
And...there you have it...Beauté Classique de Perles!!! The classic beauty of pearls!!!

Well my friends...I'm so glad that you came by today for a visit! Please leave me a comment and let me know that you were here...I'd love to visit with you!!!
Hello Chari! I love seeing your old posts from before my introduction to the world of blogging! These candleholders were a wonderful find and gorgeous for Valentine's Day or a wedding or anniversary! I see the shadows and light and dark in your photography, which helps emphasize the design of the pearls! Charles Faudree is wonderful, isn't he? Linda

Chari, I absolutely love those candle holders! They are so unique and pretty. At first glance, I thought they were hobnail instead of pearls! You've used such good composition in your photos. Love the shot of the arched window in the background. Hope you receive a nice Valentine from your sweetie tomorrow! <3
