Hello my friends!!!

Welcome to the 80th run of "Sunday Favorites"!!!

I hope that you're having a wonderful weekend! Wow...here we are...with Thanksgiving knocking on our doors! It's a busy, busy time for most of us! Preparation for Thanksgiving is well under way at my place. The menu is planned...grocery shopping done...and I have even prepared my Thanksgiving table already. I thought that my youngest daughter and her family would be coming (from Texas) for Thanksgiving, however plans have changed...they are unable to make the trip at this time. I'm disappointed of course! So it looks like we will have a small family gathering...just honey, my two step-children and me. Nevertheless, I will be cooking a turkey with all the "fixin's". Mmmm...I'm sooo hungry for a good ol' fashioned Thanksgiving feast!

This week for Sunday Favorites...I thought I would share our Thanksgiving from last year! I hope you enjoy!

Well my friends...I would like to wish you and your sweet families a blessed Thanksgiving holiday! May the Lord bless you with all that you have need of!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

**********

Just a little note: Sunday Favorites Criteria

When I first started the Sunday Favorites meme, my initial thought was to offer a solution for getting a post out on the weekend without having to spend alot of time doing so...weekends are just a busy time for most of us! Copying and pasting a previous post is so quick and easy. Not only is this a quick and easy solution to the busy weekends, but it's also an opportunity to dig back into our blog archives and share a favorite "past" post once again! Many of us spend alot of time and effort creating a post and it just seems a shame that it is viewed only once and then forgotten about!

I would like to reiterate that Sunday Favorites is a meme about sharing or revisiting a post from the PAST!

Thank you!!!

Wishing you all a super Sunday!!!

Hello my friends...Happy Thanksgiving!!!
*
There are many things that I am thankful to the Lord for this Thanksgiving! I am thankful for my friends and family...my health...having a shelter over my head and food on my table...just to name a few!!! I am also so very thankful for YOU!!! My prayer for this Thanksgiving season is that the Lord richly bless you and your families!!! May you have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!
*
It's a busy season for all of us! I have been busy preparing for our Thanksgiving get together. Our Thanksgiving will be fairly informal this year...with just Russell and I and our two children, however I am fixing the traditional Thanksgiving meal...with turkey and all the fixin's!
*
Whew...the turkey is thawing...the house is clean...and I have our Thanksgiving table set!!!
*
I wanted to share our Thanksgving table with you today. I know that you are very busy and I promise that I won't be so "wordy" today! Hehe! I have lots of photos...but few words! I hope you enjoy!!!

An informal Thanksgiving table set for four.

*
The Centerpiece

*
I found this pretty ornate metal pumpkin at Hobby Lobby a few months back. I placed a few autumn florals, acorns, pinecones, and berries inside the pumpkin. I used one of my glass pedistal plates to elevate the pumpkin and then decorated beneath the pedistal plate with a few more autumn florals, berries, and pinecones. Roseville "Clematis...in autumn brown" candleholders grace each side of the pumpkin centerpiece.
*
Ohhh my...we can't have a tablescape without a few sweet autumn birds! I just love the two brown ceramic birds that I found at Michaels. They're little wings are embossed with acorns, autumn leaves, and pretty scrolled designs!
*
Why...even a pretty red cardinal has landed atop an acorn that is sitting on top of the pumpkin!!!
*

*
The Place Setting

*
I am using my new dishes that I found at TJ Maxx a couple of months ago! I just love, love, LOVE these dishes! Love the vibrant autumn colors and those sweet birds!!! They are manufactured by Royal Stafford of Burslem, England.
*
The Salad/Dessert Plate

*

*
The Dinner Plate

*

*
Acorn Plate

*
These sweet little acorn plates came from the Dollar General...only $1 ea. They'll be just perfect for the olives, pickles, and other fresh veggies from the relish plate!
*

*
Table Linens

*
I found this pretty brown tablecloth at TJ Maxx. Love the red, yellow, and orange threads that form the subtle plaid in the fabric!
*
The autumn plaid dinner napkins coordinate with the tablecloth. The coppery, maple leaf napkin rings come from Walmart.
*

*
The Flatware

*
This is my late mother-in-law's silverplate flatware. It's so ornate...I just love it!!! It's manufactured by Oneida...pattern: Brahms.
*
Autumn Birds...

*
A couple of close-ups of the sweet little autumn birds.
*

*
An Autumn Pitcher

*
I have had this pretty pitcher for a number of years. I have always loved the vibrant colors and pretty clusters of grapes and leaves on this piece! It's one of my favorite pitchers and usually sits atop the frig in my kitchen! I thought it would go perfectly with our Thanksgiving tablescape!
*

*
I'm using my amber colored goblets...the gold looks pretty with this place setting don't you think?
*

Our Thanksgiving Menu

*
Well my friends...I'm so happy that took the time out of your busy Thanksgiving schedule to stop by today!
*
Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh my goodness, I feel as thought I could EAT the COLORS in that tablesetting -- it is so rich and delicious looking.
Perfectly gorgeous.

I'm sorry you couldn't have your celebration with your Texas family -- maybe next year! Meanwhile, I think it is wonderful that you are making the whole dinner for the 4 of you -- that is so important! Thanksgiving happens, whether we are 2 or 20 or 40 around the table!

Blessings to you and yours!
Cass

Chari, you have such a lovely touch. Your table settings are just so beautiful! and then I read where you found the things you've used, and I'm amazed even more, because you do it on a budget!

And I wish I'd seen this last year, because I think I'd have rushed out to TJ Maxx for those dishes. Dang. sigh.

Ah, Chari...Another beautiful table. You never disappoint!
Everything is beautiful. My very favorite parts are the flatware and the way the tablecloth sets off everything sitting upon it!

Happy Thanksgiving, Chari. What a beautiful table! I love the chargers, the plates and the napkins! Beautiful silverware too! Your centerpiece is also gorgeous. I hope you have a great holiday. We are traveling out of state to visit family.
Blessings, Beth

p.s. I drool over your red dining room every time I see it! I think about painting our living room red but I do so like the robin's egg blue that I've had for a few years.

Oh, Chari! You know how much I love this! It is just wonderful!

I'm so sorry your daughter's family can't be there. I do know about plans changing. Last year we were supposed to go to the mountains with friends, and my husband had the flu not long before and wasn't able to make the trip. But we ended up having lunch at the Casa Monica's 95 Cordova and having a wonderful time on our "date." SO I hope that your plans will work out to be just as special.

Love you...

XO,

Sheila :-)

I loved this table and I love seeing it again!
The beautiful pitcher, the cute little acorn dishes and the bird plates, just fabulous!
And I really love that knock-out centerpiece you created!
Sorry I am late getting over here.
I had Addison overnight Sat. and it takes me awhile to recover from the sleepless night.
Hugs and Happy Thanksgiving to one of the coolest ladies I have ever gotten to know and meet!

Hi Chari! What a VERY NICE surprise to see I had a visit from you this morning! It has been too long. I know what you mean about so many bloggers, plus my computer is SOOOOO slow. It is hard for me to jump from blog to blog. We must get a new one soon! I am so glad you showed us this tablescape again. I have ONE of those bird plates and love it! I love it when you tell us where everything came from. You are just sooo very talented. I hope you'll come for another visit soon and I'll do the same! Happy Thanksgiving!
