Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
*
Ahhh...Autumn! I love the changing of the seasons!
*
Everything is changing at my place! Not only are the greens of summer slowly giving way to the warm, golden hues of autumn...OUTSIDE...but the very same colors are changing INSIDE my home as well. This is true of my dining room at least. The light whites and bright spring greens that dominated my summer's decor have now given way to the warm, rich colors of autumn!

Welcome to autumn in my french country dining room!

Yes...the days are beginning to grow shorter, however the warm afternoon sun is still making its daily debut shining through the dining room window. I love how the rays of the sun look shining through the gold draperies...spilling upon the window bench and pillows!
*
Just a couple of weeks ago...this little window bench was dressed in green! A row of fluffy white and spring green pillows could be seen. Now...enter the golds, reds, and warm toasty browns!

Autumn leaves and brown willowy grass now fill a gold pitcher. Sitting upon the white column...they make a grand statement that autumn has arrived!!!

My very first "act" of autumn...was to change out the dishes in my china hutch.

The darling little toile bird that seems to be sitting upon a nest of red, green, and gold ribbon and trim...is actually a tassel! Kristen from Kristen's Creations made this beautiful tassel! I love it and it really dresses up my china hutch!

You know...I really do love my white and green dishes but it's so sweet to be able to bring out my autumn dishware to enjoy for awhile as well!

Yes...autumn has found its way into my little french country dining room! I'm enjoying the warm, rich colors of the new season! (Ps...my next little project is to find some pretty fabric to cover the back of my china hutch. Ahhh...a girl's work is never done! Hehe!)

Hi Chari, Your little bird tassel is perfect with those rich autumn colors, and your hutch looks so cozy, with dishes ready to warm us up on a cold fall night! The whole room is pretty and inviting. Don't you love living with a change of seasons? I don't think I would be happy where the climate is the same year round. Linda
ReplyDeleteHi Chari! I don't know that I've seen your little window seat before. What a great place to sit in the sun when winter arrives. I'm a fall/winter person, so of course, I love how your china cupboard is all changed up! Enjoy the new week. Sally
ReplyDeleteYour change of season decor is so beautiful.. Love the changes you made. you do FALL really well..

P.S. I'm a new follower!
Everything is absolutely beautiful. I have been wanting some new dishes. I need to find a good outlet for them though. I have lots of crystal and glass but I'm wanting to get into more colorful dishes. Love your autumn ones.
ReplyDeleteHi Chari! Oh my goodness! I love love your autumn decor! I think everything looks stunning! You always do a great job! Love the dishes!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Hi Chari, I love the new look in your beautiful hutch! The greens and whites were perfect for Spring and Summer but this is PERFECT for Fall! I may do the same thing, thanks for the inspiration!!! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteYour hutch is lovely for summer and for fall, too. I used to change out my Welsh Dresser and put the Spode Pink Tower on display for Autumn...but one year, they just kind of stayed there...and now they've been there for years. Your post kind of inspires me to make a change again. Thanks for the inspiration of your charming design. Cherry Kay
ReplyDeleteOh Chari, Your autumn dishes are fabulous! I love the plates with the leaves border! The reds and oranges and golds are so rich! You know, I thought a china hutch was for storage; I didn't realize it really was decor itself that would be changed seasonally. I'll bet you change it again for Christmas, right? You are so talented and have such creativity...and lots and lots of "pretties!" Have a wonderful week as you welcome autumn!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
