Happy Valentine's Day!!!
*
Ahhh...the day of LOVE! I hope that each of you are having a fabulous Valentine's Day with your loved ones! I am sending you...my dear sweet friends...all of my Valentine's Day love...big hugs and lots of smooches!!! You know that I love ya'll!!!
*
Well...honey and I had big plans to celebrate the day...but...I got sick! Sheeeshh!!! I just hate that! It's nothing serious, just a cold but it sure has knocked the "umph" out of me! So...I'll be fixing a pot roast and calling it good for today; however, you can be sure that I will be taking a "rain check" on our Valentine's Day celebrations!
*
Today for Sunday Favorites, I am sharing a past post about my honey! After all, it is Valentine's Day!!! I thank the Lord each and every day for the gift that He has given me...my Russell! Ohhh...I just adore this man...he truly is the love of my life!!! And...he spoils me rotten! Hehe! You'll see just how much he spoils me in the post that I'm sharing for Sunday Favorites today!
*
I am also joining the "Silver Sunday" party today! Silver Sunday is a new Sunday meme hosted by Beth over at Gypsy Fish Journal.

Beautiful Bunny...

Last Saturday I posted "Beautiful Bunny" for Pink Saturday. I found this little darling at the thrift store for a mere $3. He looks so pretty in my Tea Rose bedroom on the desk next to my little teacup lamp! I just couldn't believe my good fortune...why just look at his snow-white fur and the delicate pink roses that he sports around his neck! It was love at first sight!!!
*

My Sweet Love Story...

After finding Beautiful Bunny, I was just mesmerized by all beautiful bunnies so I decided to see if there were any of these precious little darlin's on ebay. Ohhh my, I just couldn't believe my eyes....right there on ebay was another Beautiful Bunny...he was much smaller and sitting atop the prettiest little glass trinket box! He's an identical twin to Beautiful Bunny the 1st...he has the same snow-white fur and delicate pink roses...in fact, he has the same touch of gold trim around his little ears! To read more about Beautiful Bunny and the Tea Rose bedroom just click here.

This is where the sweet love story begins...

Since I found Beautiful Bunny's identical twin on ebay...I hit the "watch auction" button...it would be a couple of days before the auction went out. I watched and watched...and then...I forgot about the auction! Yes, you heard me right...I forgot about the auction!!! I checked and sure enough...the auction was finished and there wasn't even the hope that Beautiful Bunny would be relisted because someone had bought him! Ohhhh NOOOOO!!! He was gone...forever lost to me!!! I really was disappointed, I mean how often is it that you find a twin to something you have fallen in love with?

Fast forwarding now... Later that day my honey came home from work! I told him that I had missed the auction for Beautiful Bunny and that someone had bought him. Honey just grinned!!! Then he told me that at 5am that morning he bid on Beautiful Bunny and won the auction!

My honey bought Beautiful Bunny for me...is that not the sweetest love story that you've ever heard??? I mean, come on girls...how many men actually pay that much attention to the many, many "little wants" of their wives? It was just a little trinket box with a Beautiful Bunny on top. My Russell always pays attention...he spoils me really!!! I am so touched by this sweet and sentimental gesture...it may just be the very best gift ever!!! Thank you, honey...you're the bestest of best husbands...and I adore you!!!

Beautiful Bunny the 1st and Beautiful Bunny the 2nd...

Isn't Beautiful Bunny the 2nd just precious? I just adore the delicate pink roses tipped in gold...
*

This is a hand-crafted porcelain bunny made by a dear sweet friend for me many years ago! Just look at the hand painted flowers! This precious bunny also resides atop the desk in my Tea Rose bedroom.

A thank you note to my honey...for all that he is to me!!!

Well my friends...thank you for letting this sentimental gal indulge in the telling of her love story!!! I hope that you enjoyed "Pink Saturday" as much as I did! I always love and appreciate your visits...you all mean so much to me!!! Please leave me a comment and let me know that you were here...

What a sweet story and whatta guy! You definitely have one of those guys that they broke the mold after making! The ones that love you so much and spoil ya so rotten because they would do anything in the world for you even if they didn't have the means to do it? Hmmm do I sound like I'm speaking from experience? That's because I got one of them too. They are very few and far between I think so we are lucky gals. I had to wait until I was almost 35 to find him but it was well worth the wait.
Happy Valentines Day to you and your Russell and I hope you're feeling better real soon.

I remember this sweet little post Chari! We are so blessed with the husbands we have!

So sorry your down in the weather- know how it goes and hope you are taking it easy. WE were going to head into Pueblo yesterday for dinner but ended up spending 4 hours over at our neighbor's trying to get her plumbing unclogged and were just beat afterwards. Rain check for us too!

I have been reading my blogs in google reader and so have not seen your lovely new header till now!! I love it- so very pretty and Chari looking!!

Well the day is almost over but wanted to come by and wish you a Happy Valentine's day (I wrote Thanksgiving first- that's my foggy brain for you!!)

You know, every time you tell a story like that it just makes life harder for the rest of us guys...

Great story, with a happy ending, for you, him, and the bunny. A win-win-win situation.

~Ah Chari! You are so kind to post about my LL giveaway. Thank you very much for doing that for me.

We had a very quiet Valentines day and just fixed a really yummy pasta dinner at home. Our anniversary is so close to it. It's on the 20th so we usually focus more on that special day instead since it's our own.

I hope you feel better today. I'm sure hoping you can celebrate the day very soon.

Love ya sweet friend. ~Melissa :)
