Cherub Compote and Lace Table Runner
*
Ooooh...aren't these pretty?

Last week honey took me to my favorite Antique Flea Market and look what I found...a creamy, dreamy white cherub compote vase and a lovely white lace table runner!
*

Photobucket

I just love cherubs and I love this pretty piece with all the embossed grapes on the bowl! It stands about 15 in. tall so it's nice sized. I think it will be a beautiful addition to a tablescape...maybe as a table centerpiece! I can see it now...sitting pretty on this gorgeous white lace table runner...I do have a plan! Hehe!
*

Photobucket

The cherub compote is manufactured by Lefton and the pattern is called "Renaissance"! I paid $9.00 for it...not sure if that was a good price or not but I had to have it!!!
*

I mean...who could resist such an angelic face? Evidently...not moi! Hehe!

At the end of the summer, I did an "all white" tablescape called "A Summer's Ode"! If you would like to see it...just click HERE. Hmm...I guess it also qualifies for "White Wednesday"!

"A Summer's Ode"

I can just see this sweet little cherub used with my white dishes...ohhh yea!!!

In the meantime...my newest little treasure find has found a loving home among all my other creamy, dreamy whites!!!

Oh, the pretty whites in your china cabinet!! And I have to mention I love the silky draperies on the window next to the hutch. The color is a lot like my living room drapes, but I wanted something silky in that color and couldn't find it. Lovely!

Your cherub is darling. Never worry about the price if you love it. If I am in a fleatique and get something for $9.00 and then find myself in a nice gift shop and similar items are $29.00, well, it goes with the territory and I find my things everywhere!!

Have a wonderful week Chari!

xoxo

All your white dishes in the hutch look so beautiful - love that look.
The contrast with the dark wood is really nice.

Chari--- It's always nice to have you stop by for a visit - thanks. Glad you enjoyed my German Lustre. It is still really easy to find cheap. I bet you will own a piece real soon!!! My pumpkins are arranged in an old wooden French baguette board that I have had for years. I remember spending too much for it because I loved it with it's charred spots and obvious use. It is great to use as a centerpiece on our long, narrow table. I gussie-it-up for Christmas with branches, Christmas balls and votives. Did you get snow today? We did a little, but mostly rain. I understand that there was a little snow up there Monday night. Our son was walking across the street from his house to school to teach Monday a.m. and slipped on ice. He really messed up his elbow - dislocated one joint and shattered the other. He will find out Monday when surgery to replace the shattered joint will be. We're going up Sat.; but in the meantime, the other teachers are doing a good job of taking care of this single guy!!! Have a great weekend. Sally

Good Morning Chari,
Thank-you so much for your lovely note! You made my day! I love looking at this beautiful post again, it's just heavenly! We are having very similar weather, cold and dreary. We had one nice day this week and now its gone to highs in the 40's! Geez, it's supposed to be in the 60's. Dan and I might take off for a day to the twin cities just to get away. Living in the boonies it's always nice to see a little city life! I didn't sub this week just spent time visiting with my Mom's sister and husband. You'll have to fill me in on that house you are working on. That is just so awesome! Well my dear, I should take a shower and get busy doing some work. Have a great week-end too, Cindy
