Hello my friends! The day has arrived...it's time for the "Feathered Friends" Party!
*
This is the day that all of our feathered friends get to shine...thanks to Gina over at The Shabby Chic Cottage...who is our lovely hostess for this fun filled party! Please go over to Gina's place and see what our little feathered friends are up to over there and while you're there you can visit all of the other party-goers!
*
So without further ado...here are a few of my "feathered friends"!!!
*
*

Bluebird's Nest Under a Cloche

*

I created this spring vignette for my dining room table. There are always an abundance of sweet little birds to usher in the long awaited season of spring! Bluebirds sitting atop their nest full of eggs can be seen under glass...a glass cloche that is!
*
*

Ahhh...more sweet birds to help celebrate Easter! These sweet little white birds are actually cast iron...found on the 90% off shelf of Hobby Lobby! They were a great find and have graced many of my spring and summer tablescapes and vignettes! This was the centerpiece I used for my Easter tablescape!
*
*

Ohhh...here are those sweet little birds once again! They seemed happy to join the little cherub in the apothecary jar for another one of my dining room table vignettes!
*
*

This little fine feathered friend hails from Michaels! I just love the beautiful ornate details of his wings...just like cut-out lace! This was my "Green in the Spring" tablescape...showcasing my new Staffordshire Balmoral 1801 ironstone dishes.
*
*

Ohhhh...those birds do like apples! This was my "Dollar Store" tablescape. Nearly everything in this tablescape was purchased from Dollar Tree! I love the bright aqua blues and apple greens of this dinnerware...each piece was only $1 at Dollar Tree!
*
*

More of the "Dollar Store" tablescape. Such sweetness...the little birds nestled among the daisies!
*
*

Now here are two "stately" fellows! Bright orange and green parrots adorn this beautiful stained glass window. This art piece was created and handcrafted by my late mother-in-law! I feel so blessed to have one of her stained glass pieces...she was a very talented lady!!! This piece sits in the window of our mudroom/laundry room...it's absolutely gorgeous with the sun shining through it!
*
*

Love birds!
*
*

A Valentine's Day tablescape for two...for my honey and me! Ohhh...I didn't count the love birds. Do you see them perched high upon the urn shaped candleholders? Ohhh yes...and we can't forget the sweet little birds on the platter of fruit! Hehe!
*
*

One of the little love birds strikes a pretty pose!
*
*

My new china hutch...it belonged to my dear sweet Grandma! I feel so blessed to have her pretty hutch! Look up on top...do you see what I see?
*
*

Ohhhh...that was a lucky guess! How did you know that more birds would be found? I wanted to dress the top of the china hutch with a vignette in white! I have my white ironstone displayed in this cabinet...so I really wanted to continue the same color in the vignette! I found the iron birdcage at Hobby Lobby...on sale for $15! I just love it and it's perfect for this vignette! I added greenery to the inside of the cage and nestled a bird into the greenery!
*
*

Hehe...another china hutch! This hutch sits in my frenchy studio/office...it belonged to my late mother-in-law. I really wanted a vignette with a little french country flair.
*
*

Un petit oiseau français est parfait! (A little French bird is perfect!) It appears that this bird comes from royalty....that is an old french crown that he wears! Hehe!
*
*

Ohhh my...and this must be the little french bird's palais (palace)!
*
*

You know...I'm beginning to see a pattern here! Sweet little bird vignettes are everywhere! Hehe! This vignette graces the top of our entertainment center in the living room.
*
*

This little yellow bird is nesting on a real bird's nest that my honey found for me in our backyard! Ohhh...you should have heard me squeal when he brought this sweet little gift to me! I just love it!!! Of course it was empty at the time...no birds were harmed in the making of this vignette! (wink)

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well my friends...I'm so happy that you came by to celebrate all our fine feathered friends today! Please leave me a comment and let me know that you were here...I'd love to visit with you!
Happy Feathered Friends Day!!!
Love ya'll,
Chari
Cheep...Cheep...that is birdie talk for nice post. It is going to be the birds all over again but in a nice way. Love all you photos, you have a good eye for photography ;-)
Where is that shelf you ask? in my computer/crafting studio area. I am slowing fixing it up and getting all my crafting supplies in one area.
Come back to see my last post until I return on Sunday. I'll miss everyone!
Your two little birdies sure do flit about the house! Guess they like to see all the pretty apothecary jars and cloches filled with pretty things, too. I especially like the birdhouse vignette on top of your hutch and the black birdhouse in the living room. Nice, all....
Hi Chari!
Another Colorado girl! Happy to meet you! See me waving 'Hi' from the mountain top? :)
I am trying to catch up to visit all the Feathered Friends posts. First, I had to figure out why my comments weren't being saved/displayed. I had to go in and add more to my profile. So much to learn!
Chari - your birds and all your decor is so pretty! There is something about having little birds in our homes that sweetens things up a bit, don't you think?
It looks like another gorgeous Colorado blue-sky day today - hope yours is a happy one!
A whole lot of birding going on there!!! We just have enjoyed watching the real birds outside our screened-in porch this summer. The birdhouse there has hosted 3 families of birds this summer. Have a great weekend. Sally
