Things are a bit busy right now...
*
As you have probably noticed, it's been a few days since I've posted anything here at Happy To Design. It's been a busy week...it's funny how life gets in the way of our blogging at times. As we stand on the threshold of summer, it doesn't look like life's events are going to be slowing down any time soon. On the weekend of June 6th, we will be dealing with the family estate/yard sale. Ohhh my...this sale has already overwhelmed me...there is so much! We're hoping for good weather and a great turnout...please say a prayer for us!!!
*
In the meantime, my step-son Darrin (age 15) and step-daughter Danielle (age 14) are in Italy for a couple of weeks. They have gone with their mother...having our kids abroad is a bit nerve wracking but we know that this is an excellent opportunity for them. We sure would appreciate a prayer for their safety!!!
*
Then on June 20th, we will be leaving for a two week vacation to South Texas! I'm so excited because all of my family is there....my three daughters and all of my grandchildren...and my folks, sister and brother! It has been over a year since I've been able to see them...I'm simply beside myself with excitement!!! I can hardly wait! So in light of my absence, I will be taking a two week blogger break at that time (June 20 - July 6). Just wanted to let ya'll know!

Hi Chari! Wow, it sounds like your calendar is filling up fast! I just looked at your pix on RMS - and I was like, "Hey, I remember this room!" You are in my faves! How funny! Enjoy your time in Texas!

Glad to see you are still alive & kickin'. I was starting to get worried about you. Don't you hate it when life gets in the way of blogging? How dare it!!! Anyways, your flowers are beautiful!!! I love fresh flowers too, but rarely get them. Usually only at Valentine's Day. Sounds like you have a lot going on currently & coming up. Don't worry too much about your kids. Going to Italy is a once in a lifetime experience. I'm sure they will be fine & are having the times of their lives. And how exciting that you get to see your family in a few short weeks. I would be so excited I wouldn't be able to contain myself. I lived far away from my family for 8 years when I was in my 20's (gosh that was a long time ago). I hated it. Right now I live about an hour & a half from my parents, two sisters & my stepson, DIL & my grandson. But we see them every month or so. I'm lucky that I do have one brother whose family lives about 15 minutes from me. So I am not entirely devoid of family. But I do have one brother who lives in Utah & I only get to see him every year or so. I hate it as I don't know my nieces & nephews very well because of it. Well I love your new pink napkins. I need to start selling on ebay again, I just can't seem to get back into the swing of it. Well take care & I'll say a little prayer for your kids that they stay safe. And I'll say a little prayer for your sale. How I wish I lived close & could come. I'm sure there are lots of fabulous things. Good luck! Talk to you later.

Hi Chari,
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are just perfect for Mother's Day! Your daughter sure did good. I love the china and especially those new napkins you got, what beauties! Your summer sure does sound busy my dear, I know about family being far away. My son Joshua lives in Tempe and I haven't seen him since October and he called and said they were coming June 14th. Yah! Today is his 30th B-day and beside feeling old, I am just amazed that he is that old! LOL, have a wonderful week-end hugs to you Cindy
we have some busy days coming up too, birthdays, graduation and all that fun stuff. You will need this vacation by the time you are done all of life's busy things. Your flowers are absolutely beautiful and love your napkins and dishes. I just plunked a couple of pinky/coral pillows on the sofa for the summer, i love the softness they add.

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for you well wishes for Keith, and thank you for telling me about Kandy. I will put her on my Bible Study prayer sheet and I WILL pray for her. I do know that the Lord does miracles. I so believe in prayer. I know He is always in control, and I know that He hears our prayers. My heart aches for your family, this is such a trying time. Just believe with all your heart and soul, and the Lord will do His will. Have a wonderful weekend, believe in Him. Hugs, Marty
Hi Chari, Yeah! ;)
ReplyDeleteI am finally able to view your blog and comment! Blogger has been acting up something terrible lately. It kept kicking me off and showing pop-ups.
Did you know your blog is stretched out side to side? If you meant to do it then I'm sure it's fine.
Thanks for coming by and checking everything out.
You are always so kind!
Your new flowers and napkins are beautiful.
Love the soft pink with your dishes.
I'm glad you had a nice trip as well.
I think we will go to a few movies and dinners this weekend. Not too much planned. I do plan to spice up my little niche area this weekend. I think painting it a red color will be good. Maybe adding little sconce type shelves if I can find some I like. We'll see...:)
I did like the french wall paper idea too. I'm just not sure I could pull that one off. Maybe I can find frenchy type plates to display.
Have a wonderful Memorial Day my friend!
~Melissa :)
You are a busy girl. Everything looks fabulous. Love your flowers.
