It's "Blue Monday"....

Hello my friends...welcome to "Blue Monday"! "Blue Monday" is hosted by our very own Sally over at Smiling Sally. You know...I just love that Sally took the Monday blues and turned the day around for some fun! So instead of moping around because the weekend is gone and Monday work day is here...let's have some fun with the blues!!! Don't forget to visit Sally and all of the other "Blue Monday" participants! Just click HERE for a ride!

Ladies in Blue...

Last week while shopping at Dollar Tree, I came across these pretty glass lady figurines. They're just the prettiest soft shade of blue and they stand about 8" tall. There were several different ladies but I just chose the four that I liked best. When I saw them, I instantly thought of one of the most beautiful tablescapes that I've ever seen...hmmm, sure wished I could remember the lady's name who had done the tablescape. She used similar figurines at each place setting...it was so beautiful, feminine, and romantic! Soooo for just $4, I thought I would try my hand at doing a similar tablescape using my Ladies in Blue sometime! I can just envision white ironstone and lace...with lots of soft blue accents!!!

Spring Flowers in Blue...

Here is another "treasure find" from the Dollar Tree store. This little blue and yellow floral bouquet is glass and stands about 3" tall. I just love the delicate little glass petals!!! Ah...blue and yellow, one of my favorite color combinations!

There were several different floral bouquets...again, I chose my favorites with the thought that they would be beautiful for a Spring tablescape! At just $1 per floral bouquet, it would be a nice little gift for my luncheon guests to take home with them!

Just look at all of the pretty Spring pastel colors. How about a tablescape using white and all of the soft pastel colors...blue, yellow, pink, lavender, and green?

I always have lots of plans and big ideas...so we'll see whether I get around to using all these pretties in a tablescape...that's yet to be seen! Hehe!!!

Well my friends...thanks for helping me turn this beautiful "Blue Monday" around, hope that you've had as much fun as I did! Life is just way too short to be wasting away a perfectly great Monday!!! Thank you, Sally for the inspiration!!!

  1. Chari, what great finds! I remember that tablescape (can't remember her name - she posted on RMS and she had a blog too, but I haven't been o her a blog in awhile). These blue ladies will be perfect for that, and so will those pretty flowers. It is amazing what can be found at the $ store. laurie

Well I see you have been extra busy finding more great deals.
You are so good at that!

They are all so beautiful and really remind me of Lladro!
I'm looking forward to seeing them on a tablescape that you do.
That sounds like an interesting idea I've never seen done before.

    Love the colorful plate too!

  15. The "ladies" are really very special. I like the one with the shawl knotted in front the best.
