Tea Rose Bedroom...Summer 2011
*
Hello my friends...I hope that you're having a fabulous day!
*
Today I thought I would show you around my Tea Rose bedroom. I have a brand new "pretty"! I recently was the lucky recipient of a gift giveaway! Yay!!! The very sweet Honey of 2805 blog hosted a blog giveaway a few weeks ago...along with Daphne of Daphne Nicole and Linda Cade blog. Daphne recently opened a new shop...Daphne's Boutique...and donated a fabulous frenchy pillow for Honey's giveaway.
*
If you haven't ever visited Honey or Daphne, you really are missing out on a treat. Please drop by and say hello...both of these women are sooo very talented!
*
Okay...before I show you my new frenchy pillow...I thought I would give you a little tour around my Tea Rose bedroom. I hope you enjoy!

The Tea Rose Bedroom...Summer 2011
*
This is my step-daughter's bedroom when she is here visiting with us...it also serves as our guest bedroom.
*
I just love this bedroom! It has a shabby chic/garden cottage feel to it. The light "leafy" green wall color gives the room a very bright and cheerful appearance I think! As you can see...I have chose shades of leafy colored sage green, soft buttery yellow, blush pink, and cream to decorate this bedroom.
*
*
It's a very comfortable room...and hopefully our guests feel at home here! There is a small writing desk for correspondence...a rocking chair and small footstool to relax in or maybe to catch up on a favorite read.
*
*
Summer Treasure Finds...
*
A frilly pillow...in cream...full of delicious ruffles...sitting in the rocker.
*
~and~
*
A frilly french footstool...done up in a french toile with all the same colors of the Tea Rose bedroom.
*
*
A Tea Rose bedroom vignette atop the armoire.
*
*
One of my favorite pitchers!
*
I love, love, LOVE the pretty pink flowers and blue ribbon that decorate this antique pitcher!
*
*
Tea Rose Bed Linens...
*
Several years ago, I purchased this bedding set from JC Penneys. It's called "Tea Rose"...and thus...the name for this room! Do you name your rooms? Hehe!
*
I actually purchased the bedding before redecorating this room. It was my "inspiration" or jumping off point for the decor.
*
*
Last summer, I found a pair of beautifully embroidered vintage pillow cases. They go sooo perfectly with the Tea Rose bed linens.
*
I love the pretty pink embroidered flowers!
*
*
*
My New Frilly French Pillow
*
*
My new frilly french pillow...isn't it gorgeous?
*
As soon as I seen this pretty pillow that Honey was offering for her giveaway...I knew I HAD TO HAVE IT! I could just see it in my Tea Rose bedroom. Hehe! I do believe the Lord was smiling down upon me when I won the giveaway.
*
I believe that the pillow is made of a creamy colored muslin. The band of burlap in the center is sporting the most beautiful rose made out of soft pink satin ribbon! I love all of the pretty tea stained ribbon streamers that fall beneath the rose. Ohhh...and all of those delicious lace ruffles...just makes my heart go pitter-patter!
*
Daphne created this beautiful pillow...she is such a talented lady! Thank you, Honey and Daphne for my new frilly french pillow! It's PERFECT!!!
*
*
*
*
*
If you look closely...you will see that I have also changed out the bed sheets and pillow cases for the autumn season.
*
Creamy off-white bed sheets and pillow cases...with a trail of pink and burgandy embroidered roses on the edges...for autumn!
Ohhh yes...they are not the traditional autumn colors, however they are a richer shade...does that count? Hehe!
*
*
The sun shining into the Tea Rose bedroom...ever so sweetly...on an autumn day!
