Rose Faeries

Rose Faeries

Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!
*
Wow...it seems that Blogger has been having some major issues!  I don't know about you but I have been unable to get to my blog since yesterday morning...until now!  I'm glad that they have been able to resolve the issue.  Nevertheless, I am a bit late to get this post up and going.
*
Rose Faeries Tablescape...
*
Today I thought I would share a spring tablescape with you called..."Rose Faeries"...that I created a couple of years ago.  Yes...it is a reprise...but until I can get back into the swing of blogging...thought you might enjoy seeing this.  I know that I have a few new followers to my blog since I originally posted this.  I hope you enjoy!
*

Here we are in my french country dining room.
The table is set and ready...won't you please come in and have a seat!
*

*Rose Faeries Table Centerpiece...
*
I used a wreath (borrowed from the wall of my Tea Rose bedroom) for the base of the centerpiece.  It is comprised of lovely pink and green silk florals, white pearl berries, and the prettiest lavender glass beads.  The beautiful pastel colors and whimsy of this pretty wreath presents the perfect base for the rose faeries centerpiece!
*
If you look closely...you will see two little rose faeries so sweetly nestled into the floral wreath! *
A large apothecary jar with a cherub sits in the center of the wreath...
*
and...a trio of ornate, silver candleholders with white tapers can be seen on each side of the rose faeries centerpiece.*

*Won't you come and dine with the little rose faeries?
**

*I really had fun creating this whimsical table.  I tried three different place settings.  Isn't it fun playing dishes?  Hehe!
*
Place Setting #1...

*A white charger plate called "Lace" from JC Penneys is the foundation for the first "Rose Faeries" place setting.  I chose a dinner plate with a beautiful wide pink band...Norway Rose china and topped the place setting off with a solid white ironstone salad/dessert plate.*

*

*A pretty porcelain napkin ring decorated with delicate little glass flowers and ribbons holds a soft pink damask dinner napkin that is fanned across the top of the Rose Faeries place setting.
*
Place Setting #2...

*Just a small change...a Norway Rose salad plate replaces the white ironstone plate in place setting #2.  I just adore this set of china...won at an auction on ebay.  I love, love, LOVE this shade of pink and the singular pink rose in the center! The pink band on the china matches the shade of pink...exactly...found in the silk florals in the centerpiece.*

*Norway Rose china...manufactured by Cunningham & Pickett.

*Another porcelain napkin ring with a different glass flower!  My late father-in-law gave this beautiful set of napkin rings to me so they are very special.  There is a different design of flower/and or ribbons on each one of the set of six napkin rings.
*
Place Setting #3...

*I decided to bring out a few of my pink Depression Glass pieces for this last Rose Faeries place setting.
*
The shade of pink used in the Norway Rose china coordinates perfectly with the pink Depression Glass.  I would call this hue of pink...blush!  It leans a little toward a peach/pink.  Sooo very pretty!
*
All of the pink Depression Glass belonged to my dear, sweet Grandmother who passed away four years ago.  I sooo miss her!!!  These pieces are such a precious treasure to me!
**

*A pink Depression Glass charger plate or salvar plate is used with a Norway Rose dinner plate for this place setting.*
*

*

*This is the 12 in. salver plate..."American Sweetheart" pattern. It was manufactured by Macbeth - Evans 1930-1937.

I just love this pretty pink plate...the scrolled pattern looks so frenchy!!!
*

*My Grandma had a set of five of these beautiful little pink Depression Glass tumblers.  Aren't they adorable?
*
This pretty pattern is called Mayfair Pink "Open Rose". This Depression glass was made by Anchor Hocking 1931 - 1937.

*

*Ahhh...and here is one of the sweet little Rose Faeries now!

*The second little Rose Faerie!  Sooo very sweet!
The two little faerie figurines belonged to my late mother-in-law...another precious treasure!*

*
Well dear friends...I hope you enjoyed dining with the Rose Faeries!
*
*
I am joining these fabulous parties today...

Hi my friend, your table is gorgeous, I love the faeries dancing around the center. Your dishes are just beautiful. The silver candlesticks add the perfect punch of bling. Just discovered I don't have "any" pink dishes... hmmmm going to have to re-think a few things. Hope all is well your way. hugs ~lynne~

Chari,
I adore your pink depression glass chargers and the pink rose dishware! I've been looking localy for faeries...no luck. Guess I'll have to use other resources. "Mr. Ed" has been so kind as to begin a faerie garden for me with some sweet selected plants this Spring. Perhaps I'll be able to share some photos soon! Thank you for the inspiration and a lovely tablescape! Heirlooms are such wonderful keepsakes!
Fondly,
Pat
