Our First Snow of the Season!
* *
Hello my friends! Just look at what I woke up to this morning in Colorful Colorado!!! Yes...it's snowing...snowing...SNOWING!!! Our very first snow of the season!!!
*
I always get so excited about our "first snow"! But I have to be honest...I wasn't ready for all this snow quite yet!!! Sheeshhh...our trees have just begun to turn their beautiful autumn colors and now they are piled high with snow! I'm a bit disappointed...just wanted to hold onto Autumn a bit longer!
*
As you can see in the photo below...the leaves have begun to turn but they are still sporting alot of green!

A view from my back door...looking out into our backyard! Yep...I live way out in the country! I have a big ol' field for my backyard! Hehe!!!

The weather man predicted 1" to 3" of snowfall....we are measuring in at 6" right now and it's still snowing!!!
*
Well my friends, just wanted to share a little bit of my life here in Colorful Colorado...and our very "first snow"!!! Have a wonderful weekend!!! We have a nice, warm fire going in our little wood stove...I'm staying in!!!

Love ya'll,
Chari

OhMyGoodness. Up here in the Colorado mountains (10,100 feet up) it's bright, sunny and dry. Got to love Colorado! Happy first snow, Chari!

Oh wow.... I'll never forget making a snowball on my 12th birthday, which fell during the month of JUNE... guess where? Yep, Colorado!

I hope you enjoy the newly fallen snow with a hearty bowl of stew or soup!

Holly Moley! Snow and 6 inches already. I am laughing as you are turning up the fire and I just put on the air condition here in Atlanta. Crazy Mother Nature! Stay warm my friend.

well...looks like we have a LOT in common this weekend! lol
I am not ready either...I just hope the snow on the trees (since they still have leaves) doesn't weight them down and break them off!
happy weekend friend

First Tootsie and now you, you girls can have all the snow you want. I don't want any my way until Christmas Eve when Santa comes. It does look beautiful though.

Snow?! Wow! We are just happy to be out of the 90 degree weather for a few days. :o)
Have you always lived where it snows? My husband and I talk about living somewhere one day where we can experience all the seasons, including snow. :o)
Sincerely ~ Tricia Anne

You really did get it, didn't you? We were going to go to Wiggins today, but I-25 was closed between Colo. Springs & Denver this a.m. Hope tomorrow is better, as we really need to go to help Mike and his shattered elbow do a few things. It's very cold here, but no snow. Stay in and stay warm. Sally

Good grief!!! Even when I lived in the northwoods of Wisconsin, we didn't usually get THAT MUCH snow until the middle of November!!!

Blame it on global warming. ;-)

Oh my you have had a lot more snow than us!! WE are just cold and overcast and it has been spitting snow all day - I have been warm and comfy as DH has kept the fire up!

I love your street lamp- I saved the picture you put up last year of when it was on and looked like the lamp post for the Narnia series!!

Say a prayer for tomorrow's service!

Wow...it was mid 70's here today and in the 80's the last few days. I just can't imagine snow this time of year. Things are really different in CO than GA, aren't they?! Blogging really opens up this big ole world for me!

OMG....I can't believe it! Is that the earliest you've ever had snow???? We had a little front come through Houston yesterday and lowered our temps from 92 to 65ish.....woohoo.....we are breaking out the sweaters! :)

Like you, I like snow but just not in October, please! I always hate having the flowers go and now our leaves....so soon!

Beautiful pictures!
