Autumn...French Country Style!

Hello my friends! I'm so happy that you stopped by today for a visit! I hope that your Monday has gotten off to a wonderful start!

Today, I'm joining in with Mary over at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday! Thank you, Mary for hosting this fun-filled event! Please go pay Mary a visit and check out her fabulous mosaics...and while you are there you can check out all of the other Mosaic Monday participants!

~~~~~~~~~~
Autumn...French Country Style!
Both of the mosaics that I am sharing with you today are taken from photos of my French Country dining room. I have really enjoyed the autumn decor in this room the last few weeks! The olive green and dark red colors in this room really make decorating for Autumn a cinch!
Mosaic #1...
For the first photo mosaic, I used Photo Bucket's "color sketch" effect and then used Picasa to make the mosaic! I really like how my dining room looks done up in the "color sketch" effect and it was soooo much fun to make!!!
Mosaic #2...
"Real life" photo mosaic in my newly decorated for Autumn...French Country dining room! Again, I used Picasa to make the mosaic. I found the pretty Autumn "celtic" design that you see in the center of the mosaic on the internet! Ohhh...there are so many things you can play with while creating mosaics!!!
Well my friends...thank you so much for coming by today and taking a peek at my photo mosaics...I hope you enjoyed them! I sure did have fun making them!!!
Please leave me a comment and let me know that you were here...I'd love to visit with you!
Love ya'll,
  25. Good morning Monday to you, Chari. I love your mosaics and thanks for telling how you did them. Your dining room is beautiful. I see we love the same colors. I live in a log home that I designed. There are Italian plaster walls here and there throughout. I painted the dining room and kitchen a deep red and love it. Not much fun painting around each log as it meets the plaster but worth it. Thanks for sharing. Sharon
  30. What MARVELOUS Autumn mosaics! You have such a beautiful home and have featured it in a delightful manner in these lovely views.
    Thanks for visiting my mosaics on each of my blogs. I do tend to get carried away on Mondays. I appreciate your lovely comments and your good thoughts. I wish Ms Kitty would let me bring her indoors at this time of year, but she will have none of it!
    In answer to your question, I use Photoshop Elements 6 to create and play with my mosaics. I've taken some classes at the local Adult School to learn how to use the different features and that helps me play. What program do YOU use to make yours and to experiment with effects?
    It's been a busy day away from the computer and I've got class in a couple of hours, so I'm doing what I can to visit in what little time I have right now. Hope you're having a delightful day.
    Hugs and blessings,
  33. Chari! I'm so glad you are available on the 5th. Let's just hope the weather, etc. cooperates. I didn't get an email from you. Why don't you try again to make sure the address is correct? Then I can email you my phone #, so we can communicate after I get in Wiggins. Mike isn't always happy when I use his computer - you know how kids can be!!! Take care, Sally
  34. Oh goodness! I am in awe of your computer program skills, as is evident in your first mosaic! (If and when I do anything involving a computer, it takes me for.ever! haha
    And I love the vibrant, rich colors of your second mosaic!
    Blessings & Aloha!
    (Thank you for your wonderful comments at my place! You are truly so generous with your kind words! I just became one of your "fans/followers". Come back any time :o) My hubby is a retired Army aviator, so we moved alot...we have an old fireplace mantel that I have "toted" around! haha I also had an old wooden (very heavy) door with glass panes, but my hubby "encouraged" me to leave it behind before our last move! Also sold an old, very heavy upright piano... oh well :o) I love antique and vintage things! (and apparently "very heavy" things haha)
    I love your rooms and how you decorate!
  35. Wow -- I can't believe that first mosaic is done from "regular" photos! Amazing. LOVE the effect.
    Great mosaics... so pretty. You have such a pretty house, and the dining room is especially charming.
    Isn't Picasa great for collages? SOOOOO easy!
  38. Hello Chari!
    The "color sketch" effect in your first mosaic is amazing. I've been drawing and painting (watercolors) recently, and when I see something so easy & beautiful as this, I wonder why I'm working so hard - guess I'm just an old-fashioned kind of girl! You asked about the bunnies in one of my posts. Yes, it's one of my paintings. My goal (and this may take me years) is to be able to paint nature as beautifully as Marjolein Bastin. I'm working on it!!! :)
    We share a love of French Country. One of these days I'll get around to sharing some photographs of the things in my home too. I've just been so busy blogging about everything else!
    Thank you for all your sweet comments at my blog. :) Have a wonderful day!
  39. Hey Girl,
    Thanks for your sweet visit as always. You always make me smile!
    Everything is going well here. It was a quiet weekend for us. We both had scratchy throats and it rained so we didn't do much. I'm pretty sure mine is allergy related though. I'm sneezing like crazy. Right now I'm actually vacumming under our bed with a hand vac and I'm pulling out wads of cat hair and dust. Ugh! No wonder I sneeze a lot huh? LOL!
    ~Happy Halloween! ~Melissa :)
