A New Autumn Table
A couple of weeks ago I was shopping at TJ Maxx and look what I found...the most beautiful dishes!!! It was love at first sight!!! They are so perfect for an Autumn table!!!
*
I actually found several items to dress my table for Autumn...new dishes...new table linens!!!
*
Ohhhh...I just love these new Autumn dishes!!! I love the colors...the pretty reds, greens, and golden yellows...and just look at those sweet little birds!!! For me...it just doesn't get any better than this...as far as dishes go anyway! Hehe! I love this pattern...but I don't see a name for it on the back of the dishware???
*
These dishes were maunufactured by Royal Stafford in Burslem, England!
*
The dinner plates were only $3.99 each!
*
The Salad/Dessert Plate
*
There were two different patterns of salad/dessert plates to go with this set.
*
This one is really my favorite, however there were only two! I'll have to keep my eye out for more...crossing my fingers!!! I really love the embossed basket-weave border...and the fruit, wheat, and birds are also embossed (they stand up off of the plate).
*
The salad/dessert plates were $2.99 ea.!
*
*
Ohhh...they just look so sweet together! I'm in love!!! Hehe!
*
The Cups
*
Love these pretty little footed cups!!!
*
They were only $1.99 ea.!
*
*
*
A Few New Autumn Accessories
*
I found these pretty Autumn leaves at the Dollar Tree...they are nice and big...about 6 in. across! I'm not sure what I'll do with them yet...but I'll find a place for them!

New Autumn Table Linens
*
I also found new table cloths and napkins at TJ Maxx...they were very resonably priced! I love this pretty red tablecloth....it's really a darker red than what is seen in the photo.
*
The tablecloth was only $7.99 and the pkg. of four napkins were $5.99!
*
Here are a couple of photos of the dinner napkins...they have a cut-out border of Autumn leaves...soooo pretty!!! The tablecloth also has the same cut-out border!
*
*
I love this pretty brown tablecloth...it has the prettiest golden yellow, orange, and red stitching that gives it the look of a plaid! Ohhhh...and look at the pretty napkins that match!!! I love the beautiful Autumn colored plaids!!!
*
A close-up photo of the Autumn plaid dinner napkin with the new dinner plate. The colors match perfectly...I just love it!!!
*
I just can't wait to do an Autumn tablescape with my newest treasure finds!!!

OMG Chari,
ReplyDeleteFabulous post again! Those dishes are really calling my name too! The little apples on the salad plate! Oh my. And the birds! Two of my favorite things! I have that same tablecloth only it may be a bit more rust colored. I got mine last year at Linen n Things! Thanks for writing on my wall! hehe. I feel like a teeny bopper! Hugs, Cindy p.s. I wrote on yours too!
Chari,
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with your new dishes. I want some!!!!! But I don't have any money to buy some. Boo hoo!!! Oh well, I don't think I have any more room for dishes. I may just have to part with some. Heaven forbid. Can't wait to see the tablescape you come up with using them. I did find some fabulous fall chargers at Walmart this weekend. Only 3 bucks each. They look like wood & have engraved leaves on them.
It's finally a little cooler here (in the 80's instead of the 100's). So I think it's beginning to feel like fall here as well. Too bad it's suppose to go back up to the high 90's low 100's in a couple of days. So it's back to summer for awhile longer here I'm afraid.
Hopefully it stays cooler where you are so you can enjoy getting in the fall mood a little easier.
Take care my friend & I'll talk to you later.
Kim
Chari, I love seeing your touches of fall. I have missed so much. I am off to check out the rest of your blog. hugs, Terrie

ReplyDeleteNow about the three projects challenge, I just may have to take that on! I have been totally procrastinating over at least two projects that are staring me in the face right now!
I love your treasure trove, Chari!! I thought I had seen these dishes but I am not sure. They are gorgeous for fall, such pretty, rich colors! The detail on the napkins is sweet!!
ReplyDeleteI sam going to check out the 2 blogs you mentioned. I'd love to try a new fall project that doesn't involve cleaning!! lol!
xoxo
Janie

WOW!! You've been shopping again, and found great things for Fall. Looking forward to seeing your Fall projects and tablescapes. I was in TJMaxx in Colo. Spgs. just the other day and didn't see any of those items. It's probably a good thing as I wouldn't have been able to resist. Take care, Sally

Oh, what a color palette! I, too, like the basket-weave plates best - hope you find more! The two tablecloths are just darling, you have a good eye!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Chari,
ReplyDeleteI'm still loving those dishes! Can't wait to see the table! The program I used for my header is Picasa. It's the only one I have and I am just starting to figure it out. It has a scatter lay-out and that's the one I used for the header. I am so inspired by your pics. I know the Picasa was free to download ( You know me, I wouldn't pay for one) LOL! I actually have to go to my office today. boohoo. I am happy just being home! Hugs and Have a wonderful Day! Cindy
Oh Chari, you are making me jealous again, I love those bird dishes. I can't wait to see you put everything together for a tablescape...Christine
ReplyDeletewhat a fabulous post!! I may need to add 4 salad plates to my apple dish collection that I'll show soon. It would let me add the fall colors and the birds to the red apples of the Frasiscan dishes. Every treasure you got is delectable and the price is right and you'll be in Autumn savvy mode immediately. can't wait to see your projects as they get checked off.
ReplyDeleteOkay, Chari, where do you live? I am coming to get those dishes. I will give you chocolate....ha!!!
ReplyDeleteThey are simply to die for. The colors are making my head swim. I just adore them and you made a fabulous purchase. Oh, the happy tables they will grace!
Hugs, Barb :-)
Chari, to say I "love" your new dishes is an understatement for sure! They're gorgeous and I want some! Can't wait to see how you're going to arrange your next tablescape with them. Your blog is so nice and I'm now following you so I won't miss a thing. Nice meeting you!
ReplyDeleteElaine :)
Chari, Thank-you my dear! Jane left me a note about it too and it's a great idea! I am trying to watch the President and do a little blogging at the same time! hehe. That was so sweet of you to look for me. Your the best, Cindy
ReplyDeleteHi Chari,
ReplyDeleteThese dishes ar sooo adorable and just perrrrfect for fall!! The tablecloths are a perrrfect match too! When will we get to see these all done up on a tablescape?!! Can't wait to see!!!
Hugs,
Sherri:)
Chari, can't believe what you got those darling dishes for! So Cute!
ReplyDeleteHello sweet friend! You always seem to find such pretties and at great bargains!! I do so wish I had a little shopping opportunity here - It took 3 months to find something for my mom for Mother's day!! (does help with the bank account though not having places to spend!!)
ReplyDeleteDoing well and am off again tomorrow to visit my little niece who is having her 5th birthday this weekend. I always give her a teacup and saucer for her birthdays and this year she wanted to have a tea party!! Have not been able to attend any of her parties in past because of a conference we have so am glad I will be able to go this year!
Also will be helping a friend with getting her home ready for her in-laws which will be living with them for a bit of time- she is very frazzled and it just so worked out that I could go a day or 2 early to help her make a cozy nest getaway!! She has a lovely large bedroom which we can make a study area and also sitting area-
I would so love to get 3 projects done but at the rate that I not getting any thing done I know this one party is not for me yet!!
blessings
mary
