Hello my friends! It's time for "2nd Time Around Tuesday" hosted by Diane over at A Picture Is Worth A 1,000 Words.
I just love "2nd Time Around Tuesday"...in fact, I just love 2nd time around treasures! You know...those great treasure finds from an antique store, flea market, thrift store, garage sale, etc. I think it's the "thrill of the hunt" that makes finding a 2nd time around treasure so much fun...don't you?
If you haven't ever been over to Diane's place...you really must go! She has a very special treasure find to share with all of us today...and while you're there you can check out all of the other "2nd Time Around" participants! Thank you, Diane for hosting this fun filled Tuesday event!!!
Treasure Find #1
Christmas Goblets
Hmmm...I can't believe that I'm just now getting around to showing these sweet little Christmas goblets to you! I found them a couple of months ago at a community wide yard sale in Atwood, Kansas.
*
There are eight wine goblets and four beverage goblets. They look brand new to me...no scatches or wear and tear to be found! I just loved the pretty wintery trees and snow flakes on them. Now...I can't hardly wait till Christmas to use them!!! Hehe!
*
I paid $8.00 for the set of 12!
*
*
Ohhhh....I just love how they sparkle and shine!!! Come on Christmas!!! Hehe!
A vignette that I had done on my dining room table a couple of months ago when all of these photos were taken.
Treasure Find #2
Christmas Dishes
I found this set of pretty Christmas dishes on ebay! They are Lenox "Winter Greetings"! Ooooh...I had been "eyeing" these for some time and then I found a set of four salad/dessert plates on ebay....yeeeehawwww!!!
*
I just love everything about them...the pretty golden color of the background...the red and green plaid pattern around the rim...and just look at the sweet chickadees sitting on holly branches!
*
This set of four salad/dessert plates were brand new and I only paid $12.49!
I checked Replacements Ltd. and they cost about $12 each...I think I got a great bargain!!!
*
*
*
I have a dark red set of dishes, "Home Collection", from Walmart...using the dinner plate for the charger here. I have had the green set for a long time...I believe they were also from Walmart. I like the layered effect with the different colors! Hmmm...you just never know how these pretty Lenox Christmas plates will be used...wink!

*
Ho...Ho...Ho! I mean Hehe!!!

The goblets are beautiful! Great close up! Mine are always bad!lol I love your Christmas dishes, I love the birds so much! Just love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Chari! You always find the neatest things! I love those goblets and dishes!! I am so antsy to get out and do a little thrifting- almost 3 weeks of recooping in hospital or home makes one a bit stir crazy!!
ReplyDeleteMy lil sis Mo bought me the most adorable little teapot placecard holders when I was in the hospital for me. I am so anxious to use them in a tablescape Thur! Sis Kathy came this weekend and just spoiled me rotten. Set the table for each meal so sweetly , had tea in pretty cups and saucers, fixed my hair, cleaned my house- such a blessing!
I hope you are taking it easy friend- Oh I forgot to tell you- they Dr mentioned that one good thing may come out of the snakebite. It might somehow lessen the fibromylgia symptoms at some point. He explained it by I was still under some mighty powerful drugs but that would be wonderful! I let you know if it works so you can go find you a snake!!!

Chari,
ReplyDeleteI love your new Christmas items. And I love how you layered the plates with your Lenox dishes. Can't wait till Christmas. Yikes, it will be here before we know it. I could sure use some cooler weather right now. It's been over 100 degrees for the past few days & it's suppose to get even hotter by the weekend. I can see that I'll be spending lots of time in the pool & not getting much else accomplished. Thanks for sharing your goodies. And I am so happy you are back participating in blogland.

My dear Chari,
ReplyDeletedid I tell you how much I love your new header! I have a giveaway, come by when you can. Hugs, Cindy
Chari I am so jealous of those wonderful glasses and dishes. I have been looking at my GW for some Christmas things, but it is really picked over. I should have gotten some things right after last Christmas, there was a ton. Anyway, just wanted to remind you that the next "Cloche Party" is scheduled for Sept. 11th for the Fall season. I just know you will wow us as usual. Be sure to grab my button on the sidebar to remind you and to let all your friends know. See you there. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteChari, what a find, wonderful dishes and those stemware, sweet deal! You are a lucky one, dear friend and your lovely pieces show it!
