Lilacs in the Living Room

Hello my friends...I hope you're having a fabulous day!

Wow...I bet you thought that I dropped off the face of the earth.  It has
been awhile since I last posted.  It has been busy...busy...here at my place.
My step-son Darrin just graduated from high school...we are sooo very proud!
And...to top things off...I have had major dental surgery/work going on.
I'm doing much better now but it has been a rough and tough time.

Today I thought I would share a pretty bouquet of lilacs
that I arranged for my living room.

I hope that you enjoy!

~Lilacs in the Living Room~
*
*
Here we are in my living room.
*
*
*
A large bouquet of freshly cut lilacs grace the small table in the
center of the "conversational area" of the living room.
*
*
*
An embossed white pitcher holds the pretty purple blooms.
*
*
*
Ahhhh....lilacs!
*
I am smitten with their beauty and scent!
*
*
*
Since we are visiting in my living room, I thought I would throw in
a couple photos of my springtime fireplace mantel.
*
Several pieces of white ironstone grace the mantel.  I love the stark
contrast of the bright whites against the dark wood mantel
 and olive green wall color.
*
*
*
You can see the reflection of the large, arched living room window
in the glass of the art hanging above the mantel.  I love it!
*
If you would like to see more of my springtime mantel...just click HERE.
*
*
*
Voila...and there you have it...
*
A beautiful bouquet of lilacs for the living room!

Hello dear Chari,
Been awhile not seeing you around
§;-)
I am envious with all the lilacs you have. Shame I can't put inside the house. GH is absolutely allergic with all the blossoms. Sad...

You have really a great and warm home. I love following your step and thank you for your ideas. I might bring them back home.

Happy TTT.

Hugs,
/Chie

Lovely, lovely lilacs! And I can literally feel your pain! I was at the dentist this morning and I am so uncomfortable. Does anything work better than ibuprofen?! Still need to check out at school, but it's not happening this afternoon. Then this is my summer to do things for the yard and house. Take care, my friend.♥♫

Welcome back Chari!!
I hope your dental work will soon be over for you, I detest the dentist! I said I would rather go through childbirth again over going to the dentist lol...

I LOVE lilacs, they are one of my favorites and yours look so pretty in the beautiful white pitcher.

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Ahhh, love that living room Chari!
I think you have thought of everything in there and it is pretty as a pic!
And your lilacs and pitcher, simply superb!
Our's barely bloomed this year. We had that warm and then the cold, I was so frustrated.
I hate dental surgery, it's not a fun experience.
So glad to see you back, I was starting to worry!
Big Hugs,
Cindy

Hi Chari, glad to see you posting again and I think I usually dread going the dentist most of all. Your lilacs are just beautiful. I just love lilacs but their strong scent doesn't allow me to keep them in the house very long at all. Also your vignettes are lovely too, I agree that the whites are pretty against the wood of the mantel. Get better quick.

Maria Elena said...

Oh, do not mention the dentist around me! LOL I hope you are recuperating nicely. Your lilacs and your whole living room look just gorgeous! The pictures are magazine worth it! Take care of yourself!
